Came in on Sunday June 26th 2022. First time eating here and it will definitely be my last! Lady that was working there apparently got into an altercation with the rest of the staff. I came in right as the cops were trying to throw her into the car…. Was seated and wasn’t waited on until 20 mins later. Was told by a Caucasian male that my waiter was outside talking to the cops but he offered to bring chips out and get us started with drinks. Drinks took another 20 mins and finally our waiter greeted us and said I’m gonna put you guise food in before the kitchen closes….. mind you my wife and I were there since 8pm. My wife is allergic to beef so she wanted to get the nachos without meat and I ordered the honey fried shrimp. Food came out and her meal came with steak on the nachos…. The two orders of shrimp I ordered were over cooked. Had to take the batter off to eat it. Once we got our food we couldn’t get anything else to drink nor did we receive any napkins or even a glass of water to wash the food down. Wasted 100 bucks for terrible service and poor food. Will not eat here again even if it’s the last place in Woodbridge Virginia.
This was the first time trying this place. The waitress was very nice. We got seated immediately, the place wasnt busy at all. We ordered the chicken and shrimp fajita combo and a beer. According to hubby his beans and rice were seasoned pretty well. The veggies were okay too. Made a Fajita with the chicken it was okay. Made one with the shrimp and that was it...unfortunately I asked hubby to tasted then I had to run to the restroom. The SHRIMP WAS BAD. Got back to the table and drank most of hubbies to get the taste out if my mouth. The waitress was apologetic and she said they tasted and it was bad. I certainly didn't want anything else.she brought us the check which only had the beer on it. Honestly I was surprised we got any type of bill at all. Never again.
They messed up my order. They forgot my husbands fish taco that we paid extra for. They gave me a chicken taco instead of ground beef. The only thing that we got that tasted good was the drinks and the empanadas. They also forgot my wine . We online ordered and the experience was just terrible . My enchilada wasn’t good so I just ate the center. If I felt like going back out I would have brought back. Probably will not return.
The food was simply delicious. The Steak Queso Torta was well received and the chicken queso platter was good. The frozen margaritas were the best part!
It is one of my favorite restaurants. Today, April 11, I went with my family to celebrate the birthday of one of my nieces. We arrived at 9:20 p.m. and they did not want to serve us. They practically kicked us out. I am disappointed with all the staff. I asked to speak to the head of the restaurant. and I never arrived
It's been a little while since our last visit. (You know COVID)They have a few now menu items. The Queso burger was terrific! It came with crinkle cut fries, and they were crispy and hot. Who knew OTB did fries?And they have the BEST chips and salsa and queso.
Friendly and professional service. Definitely can taste the grilling in the meat & seafood as well as the vegetables. Refreshing salsa with crunchy chips. As good as we remembered few years back.
First timer at On The Border and man oh man are these empanadas good. I would deffinetly recommend these. They’re chips and dip are just right too.!! I will become a regular at this restaurant ?
My friend and I visited in the after lunch rush on a weekday. The restaurant had few other folks there. Theme I selection was good and our food was delivered hot.The three star review reflects the service. My friends requests were overlooked. In the end OTB made the orders correct, but I never felt like they acknowledged her.
Good food! Great service. Also, good drinks. Nothing stood out, nothing bad happened. I will say this place needs a few fresh ideas. It looked pretty old, like the seats had no cushioning, and it just seemed a bit dark in there. The decor did not take away from the food or how quickly it arrived. It's the one chain that I feel like has pretty good Mexican. The missing 5th star is just because the decor.
