I am so excited dale city Va finally has a delicious seafood boil restaurant! Their menu has a variety of different things and deals. Their alcoholic drinks are great there’s plenty to choose from. Service was okay but the food was absolutely delicious.

Poor customer service!!! I ordered dinner from Crafty Crab thru Door Dash 6/25/22. My order was incomplete. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with Savanna about the missing item. She put me on hold to speak to management. She came back to the phone and said “sorry your catfish is still here. My manager said you can pick it up or contact DD for a refund”. My reply was if I wanted to drive to get my food, I wouldn’t have used DD. And why is it my responsibility to correct your mistake? To which she said they didn’t have drivers to deliver. Their mistake, but I am left to fix it. Totally unacceptable. The manager’s name that Savanna spoke to is Nikki. This was not my first time having food from Crafty Crab, but it is the last. Customer service goes a long way
My waitress was awesome. I feel like she was working harder than everyone and she was pregnant. My rum runner was great so kudos to the bartender w/ dreads b/c she made a well balanced libation. My food unfortunately was not what I expected. I got a pound of King crab legs and half pound of shrimp. One of my legs didn’t have anything in it….like 0 meat in the middle. Also the seasoning was way too salty. (It was like that last time too but I thought I would give it another try). The corn was crazy small too. Def a waste of money (except for my drink). Maybe I will try something fried in the future.
We ordered from here using Doordash and the prices were more than on the regular site but that was okay. The shrimp, crawfish and crab legs were delicious and we definitely plan on going inside the restaurant next time..
The food IS GOOD! Great seafood and great flavor and I’m from the south so I’m all about seasoned seafood. Also the atmosphere is great they play good music and the outside area is nice to hangout after you eat.Yesterday was my second time eating in with my family. The first time the waitress was nice but they got my moms order wrong 3 times and I waited for ever for my appetizer. I had to remind the waitress to bring it out and received it after all of our food came out. Received no refills without asking. Yesterday the waitress was VERY FORGETFUL and not attentive. Forgot half our drink orders and when we asked for a refill she only brought 1 refill and all 4 of our cups were and had been empty for a while. If I could rate the food separately I’d give the food 4 stars but seafood as we all know can be a little pricey and no one wants to pay for good food and feel like they are working at the restaurant when you have to constantly ask for refills, remind the waitresses to bring your food and drink orders. You just want to eat and enjoy your time. The seats where also very dirty when we were walked to our table. We had to wipe all the food crumbs off before sitting.
Another place around Virginia that offers crawfish, that is not good. They seem to boil it without any seasoning or flavor, and then they just dump sauce all over the shell of the crawfish. I want my food seasoned not my hands.
My partner went here a few months ago and said it was great so I was really excited. There was no wait and the place looks really cool inside and they have seating upstairs which is awesome. Our server came quickly and took our drink orders and then a second server came and I wish he had stayed as our server but we let him know someone else had already taken our drink orders. We ordered the fries, they were alright and came with one small micro squirt of ketchup. The oysters and boil were good but too salty. Crab cakes were not good. I thought they were huspuppies for a second with how little crab meat they have. We asked for water that got forgotten and then our bill was brought to us early when we were planning to order more! I thought we would get hand wipes but when I opened the packet it was gloves which I totally wish I knew before hand and would have used. 5 or so servers were standing around hanging out by the door.I really wanted to like this place but it just didn't deliver. My partner agreed that it wasn't the same good experience he had when he first went2 stars become I did get my snow crab legs fix which came with potatoes and corn which were yummy despite being too saltyEdit: what is that response, had nothing to do with my review......?
I wish this restaurant were close to my house. I love seafoods and their foods was very tasty. I’d love to go back there again.
The food was fresh and delicious. The waitress was friendly, professional and courteous. thoroughly enjoyable evening had by all.
