Been going here for about 15 years--not just for the solid, local beer selection, the wonderful atmosphere, or the on-point tending, but also--for the damn good burgers.Pictured is the Churchill with chips and a local on-tap IPA.

My wife, daughter, and I tried the Union Jack for the first time recently. We had soft drinks, the “Smarmy Wrap” (not smarmy in taste), and a siracha lime shrimp salad. The outdoor seating was pleasant, as it gives great views of the Main Street, but our service in mid-afternoon seemed a bit slow - short staffing may have been the explanation.

While visiting Winchester for an overnight we drove down to the pedestrian mall and decided to have an early dinner at a restaurant that offered outside dining. After surveying all of the restaurants that were open as it was Sunday and some were closed or closed early we chose Union Jack Pub to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We were seated quickly by a very friendly staff member who turned out to be our waitress as well. A quick peek inside resembled an English Pub which was kind of neat. We ordered 2 draft beers, Fish and Chips and a prime rib sandwich which turned out to be fabulous. Across the mall was a musical quartet that provided some really good soft rock at a reasonable volume. The entire bill came to $52 that included tax which was a very fair price these days. A heavy tip for the excellent waitress and we were on our way.

We had a great time stopping here during the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester. They had many streets shutdown, but fortunately there was parking available nearby parking garages. I was only having drinks but certainly enjoyed the "Coal Miners Daughter" beer they had on tap. Definitely a fun and upbeat atmosphere with lots of nearby places to stack along a fun night out. I will definitely be back.

Food is fantastic every time we go there, I usually get the blackened Caesar wrap (now called smarmy wrap iirc), last night tried the blackened Alfredo with chicken and it was phenomenal!Only frustration is that we were told they have 2 servers working the evenings and they were relatively busy but it took about 1.5 hours to get our food. My hubby and I like to get in and get out so we weren't thrilled about sitting so long but the waitress was sweet and it was nice (albeit cool) outside, plus our puppy was drawing a lot of attention so it made the time go a bit faster.Anytime we are in the downtown area this is our go-to, will always recommend if you don't mind having a leisurely meal.

We were in the area and decided to look for a restaurant in the Winchester. After reviewing their menu, we picked this one. It features outdoor seating facing the old town shopping district. Inside is a bar area with additional seating in a pub atmosphere. We ordered fish and chips and a swarmy wrap. Given the ongoing post covid hiring issues, I think the restaurant was short staffed. However, our service was excellent, the waiter assigned to the outside was prompt and attentive. The fish and chips was excellent, big pieces of white fish, crispy exterior. Fish and chips can become soggy fast if you don't dry them after removing from deep fryer = and these were perfect. The swarmy (blackened chicken. bacon and pepper jack cheese) was also very tasty with crispy bacon and a good blackening on the chicken. When we were ordering, our waiter warned us that the fish and chips were in limited supply and I can see why.

We love this place…first time there. I as the vegan typically have trouble finding options but there were a few for both of us (my wife is a meat eater). So we are Gen-xers and I say that because the vibe of the place is awesome…a true full stocked bar with a great sleek croon of craft beers, mixed drinks and othe alcohol, great staff and atmosphere. Front of the place is over for folks who want to spread out with larger groups…back in the bar were high tops and bar stools. Good and drinks were awesome…music reminded me of our college and early 20’s….we loved it!!

A fun place to go. Great variety of drinks, lively atmosphere, good music, and good food. Just wish there was a bit more on the menu to choose from.

This is in the Winchester walking mall. We decided to try traditional meals and got the shepherds pie and fish& chips. The pie was not as hot as I would liked it and would have been better with a broiled top. The fish was greasy. Fries were good and plenty of them. Small portion of slaw. Like that they served malt for ff.Plenty of staff that seem to work well together.Bathroom door doesn't lock. It was a little too loud in general there for me. We won't be going back. At the time we were there it was adults. I had expected to see more college age, but I guess they were on Christmas break.Just my opinion.

I love this place because they have great beer options. But they keep closing earlier then their listed times. Routinely I try to have a late night dinner and they close before 8 o clock...?‍? Please update your hours or stay to them.
