My favorite here is the jerk chicken. I got it again yesterday and got the small portion. Unbelievably generous portion! I got it to go and when I got home and opened it I couldn't believe how jam-packed it was with food. The consistency with this particular item on the menu has been on target every time. It's the same delicious medley of flavor every single time I get it. Very robust. So grateful to have the genuine Jamaican experience of jerk chicken right here in Winchester. I was referred here by a co -worker. I tried it though the food was flavorful and authentic tasting, the quality (possibly over cooked) will not bring me back for 2nd's. I may have come at a bad time of day. Dinner time. I ordered the Jerk Chicken but it did not taste like it was off a grill, it was more like it was cooked in an oven.
We chose this place because of the high ratings but maybe we chose a wrong day/time to visit. The best part of the encounter was the host. Very bright and bubbly personality. However the food was not good. To be honest the food seemed to be not very fresh. It reminds me of food that is thrown together real quick cause you u hungry and u need not put too much attention to taste and presentation. It was not restaurant quality. It is nothing compared to Jamaican food to which I am accustomed to. The rice and peas appeared to be cooked separately and just mixed together poorly. The cabbage lacked flavor and was mushy. Spinach had high amount of citrus flavor. The curry was over powering in the chicken…meaning it may have been added very late in the cooking process and didn’t have time to blend. Another thing, I do not believe the patties are freshly made. I think they are store bought and displayed as home made. Reason being is that they tastes awfully similar to the same patties from the local Costco. This is an overall fail for me.
Stopped by with the kids after a visit to the library. I loved the blue mountain coffee and jerk chicken was spicy and flavorful; the kids loved the fried plantains! Staff was great, food came quickly and love all the islands decorations. Look forward to visiting again soon!!
One of the best of places to go to for great Jamaican food. The owner is such a character and a great person to talk to for a long time. The staff are very nice and the food is amazing. Couldn't ask for more. I got the jerk chicken and Jamaican patties. Since the food was so good, I ordered the ox tail and another thing if jerk chicken for my family to try.

Fantastic authentic Jamaican food. Lloyd absolutely knows what he is doing. Best jerk chicken I've had in my life, my buddy got the oxtail and he loved it. We even got extra food to bring home for later. The coffee is great, only place I know around here you can get authentic Jamaican blue mountain coffee. I plan to stop by every time I make it this far from DC
Absolutely amazing!! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Couldn't say enough nice things about this cafe, from the atmosphere to the conversation. They really make you feel like family. The food was obviously delicious, but I don't think you should take my word for it go ahead and stop in. Make sure to grab a latte too.
