Really disappointing. My friend and I ordered two pizzas and I swear they were at our table in under five minutes. You can't make a good pizza in five minutes! I picture a row of pre-made crusts smeared with tomato sauce waiting for orders. When the order comes back to the kitchen, someone tosses the toppings onto the pizzas and they are swept out to the customer. They were barely room-temperature--BARELY. There is no way these pizzas saw any "wood-fired" oven, or any other kind of oven. The crust was flaccid, the sauce was unbearably salty, the toppings were raw, and they were darn near cold. We each had about a slice and a half, asked for a box, and left. We threw the leftovers away when we got home. This was our first visit and will be our last. YUCK.
Went here for my husband’s birthday lunch. He got a steak and cheese, I got the white pizza with prosciutto. My pizza was the best I’ve had in years! Better than Pizzoco and more affordable. We also each had an alcoholic drink and our total was only $40. Service was perfect. Very comfortable atmosphere inside and outdoor seating area looked nice. Will definitely be back soon!
Everyone working there were super pleasant and seemed to love what they were doing. Very quick service from walking in, getting seated, being greated by our waiter, ordering and food arrival. We got the mozzarella sticks and let me tell you......hand battered and fresh mozz inside. Best I've ever had. Ordered the Primo Pepperoni Pizza. One word.....Amazing! Fire wood oven pizza. Will be making the 70+ mile journey again to eat here.
You think you've had pizza that rates as the best ever on the face of the Earth. Sorry, you have not! I can guarantee you have not unless and until you taste the fantastic creations that are served up out of Roma's wood-fired oven. The crust is soft yet crispy ( quite a pizzamaster's magical trick) and the toppings are all incredibly fresh and intense with flavor. Only having first-hand experience with two pizza choices is all I need to pass judgement here: the Trifecta is a different yet totally satisying treat if you're a pepperoni fanatic like me. The pepperoni doesn't overpower the taste like is commonly found because of the extra ingredients such as basil and tomato chunks. If you're into brussel spouts, yes there's a pizza for that! Be warned the wood-fired red onions that come with it will make you never stop raving about how out-of-this-world they taste! If the food isn't enough to win you over maybe you'll be fortunate to have service beyond anything you'd expect. That did take place for me on the day I visited. Yes it was a slow business, early Sunday afternoon but that doesn't equate better service if the server doesn't feel like it. Did you ever have a server who you could tell wasn't going to interact any better than a robot? Showing zero enthusiasm or interest? More common than not, right? Luckily I had the complete opposite of that. My server from "minute one" made me feel at ease, gave smart menu recommendations and allowed a relaxed dining experience at a table on the front sidewalk/patio ( which, by the way, is the perfect place to soak up the pedestrian mall ambiance). She was obviously superb at knowing all the right things to do. Even offered drinks "to go" to combat the heat, which was graciously accepted! I don't know if this is normal operation here, but it was fantastic to experience. I was totally 100 percent "fired up" with every piece that this place delivered. However I can't say how the interior fares on atmosphere because I did not set foot inside. That doesn't affect my opinion because the employees and food quality are what matter. As the saying goes, you can't eat the wallpaper! Buon appetito!
Great service with a fun hostess and late night service on a Friday night. Pizza was excellent. Recommend the house pizza and the Hawaiian. The house beers (the Wit) was surprisingly light and a perfect complement to the pizza. Fun night with “free” music from restaurant across the street
Fantastic food at great prices! We hopped in for lunch and took advantage of the pizza and salad special. At the time of writing, $9 for a small (12 inch) one-topping pizza with a salad (bigger that your regular side salad). A plain small pizza is $10. What a deal! The wood fired oven pizza is excellent. A nice, chewy crust that isn't too thick, good sauce, gooey cheese. It's well executed.Had a beer (Gen 2 IPA) from the brewery upstairs, Alesatian, that was tasty. Lastly, the staff was great. They're slammed, and working together as a team to make sure we're taken care of and feel connected to. Stop in for a good meal.
Wanted to try a local place for dinner...Downtown was packed and all eateries were enjoying plenty o patronage...we were intentional to try out Roma as we saw the menu online in advance and it had some things that sounded savory...we checked in and were seated at an outdoor bistro within 20 minutes. The service was adequate, the atmosphere was good but a bit noisy because of the event activity in the square. We ordered a Lamb Gyro and a small Pepperoni pie to share. Both were served quicker than expected and both were very tasty (though the lamb was a little dry/overcooked, still seasoned perfectly and the pie was very good, nothing extraordinary).A very good dining experience and I would recommend to anyone passing through Winchester.Of note, the downtown area has a parking garage but we opted for street parking a couple blocks away. Finding street parking could be a challenge I'm sure but we were fortunate to land a quick spot The evening weather was perfect and the walk was fine. Great little town to experience.
Called for takeout pizza to our hotel room after a long day of driving. We received excellent service as well as delicious pizza! Highly recommend!
Onion rings and Greek fries are great, so is the Greek pizza and beer, and the falafel. Great service, clean, has outside seating in downtown Winchester...
