Excellent service and food!! Thanks Carlos
This Restaurant was awesome. Took my wife there for mother's day, she had stake, shrimp and scallops and I had stake and shrimp fajitas. Everything was awesomeEven had leftovers to take home. Or waiter was young he said that he was a high-school senior, but he was very respectful and professional about doing a good job. We left him a good tip. If you are looking for a good Mexican restaurant this is the one. Enjoy!!!!
The arroz con camarones is out of this world! Also recommend the blue margarita ?Only critique, we had to wait for chip refills and not every chip basket was refilled when it was emptied. We had a party of 12. But the food and drinks are awesome ?
First of all, the outside looks like it is in sincere need of a paint job. My husband and I walked in at 6:30 pm and stood right in front of the hostess area at the sign saying, “Please wait to be seated”, where 2 female employees were having a conversation. They looked at us and kept on talking. Most all of the tables were empty. A male employee came around the corner from the dining room area, talking on his cellphone, made eye contact with us and kept on walking. We waited about 5 minutes, but we’re never seated. They did have live music - some fella way in the back singing & playing a guitar. It was so loud, my husband couldn’t hear me when I said, “Let’s get outa here and find some place where we can actually eat”. We left.
We had a great dinner! Service was excellent!! We had Oscar who was so kind and personable! Our food was quite good and portions were generous! The whole wait staff was welcoming and friendly.
DELICIOUS!!!!! We enjoyed dinner here after a long day on the road. My Fajitas arrived sizzling and perfectly seasoned. Hubby’s quesadilla was generously stuffed with meat and veggies. The rice, beans, and salad were all fresh and tasty. Service was good, though we did have to wait a bit for water refills. That was totally acceptable in light of how great the food was. Bonus - while the outside of this restaurant isn’t anything special, the inside decor is beautiful and impressive. Be sure to have a meal here if you’re in Winchester!
If you are in the area, it's a no-brainer. And IF you are stopping through for an overnight, stay at the La Quinta which sits just across the street (it's AH-mazing). You can't beat walking to dinner after so many hours in the car.We read great reviews of Los Toltecos and all proved true. Fantastic food and fair prices. Excellent menu. If wine is your drink of choice, just know this is not their main focus (all Barefoot Brand wines) but if you love Margaritas, hard liquors, mixed drinks and beer, they've got you covered. We will definitely be back. We so enjoyed our meal and the service!
I am not a person who writes reviews but I have been here so many times but these past few trips have been the worse. I was there on lunch and it looked slow and the service was rude and slow. I was also there during dinner and service is still slow. I thought there service would have been better since me and my husband were the only ones there. I’ve had two separate ladies and they have given me the worse service I could have ever received. I hope they get better servers, until then I will not be returning. Sad to say food is also smaller in portions than before.
So we always go to the one in winchester. Va.Always great food the last time we went. Our waiter Oscar was not there. The service was slow looked like a bunch of high school or college students working. Restaurant wasn't busy. Got our food it tasted good but was not hot. My husband cheese enchilada was not melted it was lumpy cause of it being cold. My burritos wad cold too. We did not say anything. We will go back but hopefully it's alot better and we enjoy like we use too.
23.99 margarita was ok but food was better. Had 3 margaritas and stoopid me should have asked the price before hand. I'm from the California's Hi Dez and if I pay 15 bucks for a margarita and drink 3 I normally can hardly walk. I'm posting this afterwords so what does that tell you. Live and learn.
