Was there last week, spent around 250 bucks.. all items excellent as well as service… headed back tomorrow to reload in this great deliciousness 😀
Dan's Seafood is my go to place for dishes from the sea. The Crab cake sandwich is my favorite along with the dip. It's got all the right flavor and always leaves me wanting more. We've had several items from Dan's and have loved every one of them. The only down side is there isn't a place to eat on site, though I believe they have some outdoor picnic tables outside now. You can't go wrong grabbing a bite from here!
Met my order requirements and in a timely manner. Helped keep my granddaughters family Birthday party a terrific one. The crabs and shrimp were awesome and prices are reasonable!
Ordered lobster roll, came on one piece of toasted bread, lobster (fake) was freezer burnt to taste. Had a few chips and a tablespoon of coleslaw. The crab dip also came with toasted bred, not much crab in dip at all. Wasn't terrible, but expensive.$43 dollars to go.
I am from the Chesapeake Bay Area! So happy to see that it was Authentic Cooking from Chesapeake Bay Area! I loved every second of it! I met these folks in Winchester Virginia and it felt like home to me, thanks guys! I appreciate your great cooking. The soft shell crab was the bomb! It brought back wonderful memories! Big Shout out to Big Dan for bringing us a seafood joint.Everything was fresh and authentic; perfectly seasoned.Go support Dan cause believe me, He's doing us a favor.
The scallops in the basket were not the same as the ones one display. They were frozen and mostly breading and were filled with fluid seriously the most disgusting scallops I've ever had. Sad to see them go cheap on 18 dollar scallop basket. Watch this place for the bait and switch.Other food was OK but not blown away def can make better at home.
Best sea food by far. They have the best selection of fresh frozen fish supplied by USA Produce & Seafood a local commercial vendor. This is the best fish I have ever found that is very very good.
My first visit here was a good experience and the food was delicious. We had the lobster roll with hush puppies and a crab cake sandwich with the house made chips and coleslaw. The lobster roll was very good with large chunks of lobster, would suggest to add a little more of the dressing mix though to add more depth of flavor. The hush puppies were made with pieces of corn with a nice crispy shell and soft on the inside. The house chips were ok but need more flavor. The coleslaw was a creamy style easy on the vinegar with a nice balanced flavor. The crab cake was a good size with many lumps of crab, good ratio of crab to filler. They also have a good assortment of fresh/frozen seafood including varieties of tuna, scallops, oysters, cod etc... Now for my one star deduction, this place is pricy. I know seafood is expensive and I expect to pay a decent amount for it but here add about 20% more. Due to location setup this place is take out only with no seating available however they do have a drive thru. This is however my only critical feedback everything else was great and I will still return!
Stopped by today for the special as well as a lobster roll. Both items were delicious! The main entrees were great and the sides - cole slaw and potato salad were even better! Can't wait to to back and try the other things on the menu. Winchester may have finally gotten a GREAT seafood restaurant!
