If you order the black garlic bagel with the black garlic shmear, you will never be able to fully enjoy another bagel. This place has the best bagels you will ever eat, and I can’t recommend it enough. Some of the desserts are also really good! I recommend the espresso brownie 1,000 times! Oh, and the Asiago bagel with the jalapeño schmear is also amazing.

I am a downtown resident and local realtor and frequently recommend and visit the Bake Shop often along with Precarious and Amber Ox and am also a Soirée member. I do my best to support our amazing local businesses but will not be returning here due to the rudeness of the staff.Living so close I often walk my dog to get food at any number of the great establishments near the historic area and in the past several years have never had any issues at any establishment other than recently at the Bake shop. The last two attempts have been met with one of the staff aggressively yelling at me in front of other patrons to get out with my dog, going so far as to run around the counter and usher me out the door.I completely understand and respect company policy and the FDA regulations that protect the food, however this was excessive. To do this at an establishment that offers no online ordering and did not take orders when I called is also a huge disappointment to local patrons with dogs, of which there are many.I would be embarrassed to have one of my clients or any visiting friends and family be treated this way.

Great bagels. Gotta stop there.

I stop in weekly and Bake Shop has never disappointed! I’ve loved everything I’ve tried here. The Veggie Patch sandwich is delicious. Their bagels are the best in town. As someone who lived in Brooklyn for years, I was very underwhelmed by the Williamsburg bagel scene until Bake Shop opened last year. Their cold brew and coffee is top notch. And best of all, the staff at Bake Shop is friendly, helpful and a pleasure to chat with!

Excellent baked goods and coffee. Just across the street from William and Mary campus, near the sorority court. There is a line a prime times but it moves quickly. There is outdoor seating right there with more at the corner of the building. A great place for a quick breakfast or a snack.

We had to hit up The Bake Shop in #williamsburgva after eating at its sister restaurant Amber Ox a couple of days ago. We got toasted bagels a pastry each and a coffee. My friend got the sticky bun with cream cheese frosting, Asiago cheese bagel with pimento cheese spread, a cold brew with bourbon salted caramel. I got the espresso brownie (had a Lil Maldon salt on top!) Black garlic and sea salt bagel with veggies shmear, and a bourbon salted caramel latte. We couldn't stop talking about those bagels! So good! And the smears were homemade and delicious. The bourbon shown through in our coffees but the drinks were very well balanced. The touch of salt was welcomed and was one of the elements that set these drinks apart from your standard everyday chain. We saved the pastries Wil we got home as it was raining and there was no where to sit at the bake shop. Back in the condo we took pics and tasted the pastries. Moist and rich filled with good quality chocolate but nicely balanced so you could eat the whole thing in one sitting was what my friend called "the best brownie he has ever had". The maldon salt on top really elevates this amazing dessert. I am saving the rest for after dinner as it is a large portion. The sticky bun was delicious with a hint of orange zest and alot of the sticky pecan caramel with a not too sweet cream cheese frosting on top. The addition of cardamom and cinnamon make this "not your ordinary sticky bun". Next time your in Williamsburg check these guys out!

Finally there is a real bagel in Williamsburg. Not to mention a damn good baguette.I am so excited The Bake Shop is here and I wish them huge success!

My wyand I are traveling healthcare, we found this bakery from Google and 100% recommend to stop by. Everything we've had as been great and the Friday night pizza is as well.

Was running errands and was headed to another place for coffee but stopped here. Was nice to see a bakery that offered more than just sweet items to enjoy. My daughter and I ordered bagel w/ cream cheese, focaccia, a sticky bun and a maple coffee. Total was around $30. My daughter said she enjoyed the bagel as if was fluffy and fresh. The focaccia was good when I took it home to heat it up. I added some extra olive oil and artichokes to it and it was yummy. Definitely made fresh. I got the sticky bun for the husb’s, he eats everything sweet and ate it so quick couldn’t get a question out so I’m sure that was delicious too. My only sad face goes to the coffee. The size was to small for a real coffee drinker like myself and it was not a very strong roast. I asked for 3 shots and told I’d be charged for 4, so I said just give it all to me since I’m paying. I assumed it would be very strong, but it wasn’t. Very light actually with just a hint of maple. I definitely want to go back and try another roast because maybe it was just that coffee. I loved the all the options they had and I’ll definitely go back.
