Waiter we had was extremely rude and followed us out of the restauraunt when i left little to no tip and argued with me while my child was in the car keep in mind i usually tip good the food was garbage at best we were never offered refills on our drinks the soup was lukewarm at best and the lady kept having an attitude when we requested items for the table (soy sauce, chopsticks, straws, forks etc.) If 0 stars was an option this place earned it. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

My friend and I ate dinner at Sushiya on a Sunday evening in May. We were seated promptly by the host who brought us water and menus. I realized that he was also waiting tables. So I was prepared that our order might take a while. I have seen reviews that said service was slow.... well it makes sense if they only have limited staff. So our waiter attended to the six or so other tables. The sushi chefs were fast at work and food did stream out of the kitchen. Our order was taken about 15 minutes after we were seated. We ordered gyoza and three sushi rolls. Gyoza came out quickly as one would expect and our sushi took about 30 minutes. Our waiter stopped by and refilled water and my tea regularly. Sushi was pretty good. We enjoyed the two rolls with different kinds of tuna (Hot Night and Ann's Roll). We had a third that wasn't that flavorful but I can't remember it's name. Overall, very good sushi for Williamsburg.

This is one of the best sushi places in Williamsburg, Virginia. The folks here are super nice. The sushi is fresh and delicious The rolls are huge (at least the ones we ordered but I'm not complaining!) and may be hard to fit in your mouth so beware! We wanted an early dinner so we came as soon as they opened. Make sure you check their schedule because they close after lunch then open up again for dinner. We also ordered their fried rice and yakisoba and those were yummy as well. We are fortunate that this place is away from "restaurant row" and near most neighborhoods in the Jamestown area.

I have always liked the quality and creativity at Sushiya, but today was not good. Not preparing sushi rice correctly should be embarrassing. The rice was hard, dry and not seasoned. I ordered 3 speciality rolls. They fell apart. The order was to go, but had I been served those rolls in the restaurant, I wouldn't have accepted them. I am only writing this review so that management can correct such an unforgivable error, not preparing rice properly.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I have visited! Service is great and the food is even better! You've got to try the Tempura and the Beef is outstanding! A little pricey, but fantastic food quality. A hidden Gem!

My husband and I have gotten sushi take out a few times. They are overpriced and the sushi is not rolled correctly . It falls apart with every piece you pick up . The flavors are delicious, but not worth the aggravation of poorly rolled sushi. On top of that, the cuts of fish are half of what they should be. All in all, it tastes good but is poorly prepared and pretty much a rip off.

Amazing sushi! The menu has a lot of great items and the service was quick and very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant in the Williamsburg area

Actual hours do no match hours posted. Arived for dinner on a SATURDAY and was promptly told (with another customer) they were closing. Head to ichiban instead.

Hibachi was ok, maybe 4/5. Sushi isn't great. The crab is the fake fish stuff. That's honestly unforgivable. Id give the sushi 2/5 at best.

Very nice sushi place. The food was really good. The waitress was super nice and attentive. Be aware that this is good quality food and it does come at a bit of a price. Was definitely worth it. Will be visiting again soon. Would recommend.
