We love Mediterranean food and have a local place that is our favorite at home. This place blew our local favorite out of the water. The food was super hot and fresh. Everyone loved what was ordered. We had gyro bowls and gyro sandwiches...all excellent. We arrived as the dining room was closing, but still had excellent service. I would HIGHLY recommend this place!
We stopped by for dinner and it was amazing. We have a local favorite Mediterranean place back home, but these gyros were a step above. The pita is a little crispy and the hummus is perfect. Everyone loved their food.
We ordered dinner to-go for a family of 12 this evening. I was so impressed by the service and quality that I called this evening to compliment the gentleman who took my order. Absolutely delicious! Best gyros we've had in a very long time. Grew up in NY, but live in NC now and our family was visiting Williamsburg for vacation. This will definitely be go-to restaurant for our family on our future trips back to Williamsburg. Did NOT disappoint, would recommend 10/10!!
Visiting in Williamsburg and decided to try this for the first time. I had high hopes because of the wonderful reviews but I have to say this was very disappointing. I ordered the rice bowl. For the price, the portion is very small. Some parts of the rice is not cooked and the chicken is extremely salty. This was not worth it at all and I definitely do not recommend.
My entire family enjoyed our drive thru meal from this place. The Gyro and Chicken sandwiches were fresh and delicious, and so was the Gyro salad! The staff was also very friendly, despite us showing up 10 minutes before their closing time. Great meal all around!
Great food! I had a chopped greek salad with grilled chicken and it was much better than I expected for a drive thru restaurant. In fact, better than more expensive restaurants like the one down the street. Fresh ingredients, and not just a lot of lettuce like some places will do. Pita bread was delicious too. A pleasant surprise find! I definitely recommend.
Usually this place is a staple and dependable gyro restaurant, but lately it's been going downhill. With uncooked rice in the rice bowls and other mistakes, the quality of the food has decreased. Hopefully Spartan can turn this around.
Came in from Texas to visit family and decided to try this place out for lunch. Service was prompt and courteous beginning to end despite having to juggle dine-in, carryout, and the drive thru. I got the Spartan Gyro and fries for myself. Absolutely killer. Tasted fresh, authentic, and all the seasonings were perfect. Everything had flavor without anything being overpowering. It was so good in fact that I ordered a Greek salad to go for my mom and a slice of Baklava Cheesecake for myself. She gave the salad an all around A++ and I could go back for the Baklava Cheesecake alone if the rest hadn't done it for me yet. I will be back next time I'm in Williamsburg and until then I'll be sending family and friends in my stead.
The food was fresh, fast, and delicious! We had hummus, salad, a gyro, and dolmandes. All were tasty. The pita was homemade, hot and just crisp at the edges. Less than 10 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg. Eat here, not there!
