Definitely a great restaurant. The staff was very friendly and food was great. I was there on 6/22/22 with wife and kids and had a great lunch. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Wife had I think was blackened fish which was great and all 3 kids had mini corn dogs that were also good. The cornbread is excellent being moist and flavorful. Also had the Miami Iced Tea(variation of long island iced tea) which was ?. Definitely will comeback when back here on vacation.
I have been there a couple times in the last year or so and been totally delighted with both the food and the service. These folks know how to do it right. Whether it's ribs, pulled pork, brisket, or whatever, it all comes out good. Very few places I have been to have met that standard. And the service is very personal and conversational, willing to come up with whatever sauce or drink or side plate you need. It's a GO TO place if you in the Williamsburg area.
I mean, what can you say? This place is so amazing. The corn muffins were just the absolute best things ever. The food was so incredibly perfect. The place is quiet or at least it was when we were there. The staff was kind and the prices were extremely reasonable. The food was all delicious and came out so fast we were actually shocked. Whether you live in Williamsburg, or if you’re like is and just visiting, make this a stop for lunch or dinner. You may not know the name yet. But eat here once and you’ll never forget it.
This place had nice reviews so me and my husband figured we would try it …. Boy were we wrong this place had the most Blandest food ever and the Lemonade tasted very watered down my husband got Brisket with ribs and some sides he received the wrong sides …. Waitress had a smug look when she was asked to bring back the CORRECT sides, this is by far the worst restaurant we have come across while here on our vacation and don’t even get me started on the Burger … the bacon was extremely hard i got a toothache chewing it , felt like hard chewing tobacco and to top it all off The flies flying all over our food wanted a taste too little do they know they wouldn’t even like this TRASH if i could rate this a 0 i would! but unfortunately 1 is the lowest i can give I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE! the complimentary muffins were coke as well.
Great atmosphere. Our waiter Rocco was very friendly and helpful. The warm cornbread was delicious. We both had the ribs, which were fall off the bone delicious. We tried the beans because of some of the reviews I saw and they did not disappoint. I also had the potato salad which was very good. On the way out we spoke with the owner who was very friendly and funny. Overall a great dining experience.
We come to this BBQ restaurant every time we visit Virginia. The staff is absolutely wonderful and so kind. On 6/2/22, we did a to-go order for lunch and since I knew I was having a big dinner, I just ordered the pulled pork sundae as my meal. I’m not sure what happened this time, but the coleslaw that was on top made me very sick. The meat and sauce were delicious, but something was very off with the slaw and I was sick the rest of the day. I had this same meal when we visited in September and everything was fine, so I’m not sure what happened. It won’t stop me from coming here, I’ll just get my slaw on the side next time!
Great experience! We were camping nearby and decided to eat out our last night. After a quick search we found Rocco's. We saw all the good reviews and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in the door we felt like family. Our waitress, Toni, was amazing. She immediately brought us their delicious corn muffins (we ordered extra to take home) and had a friendly greeting for us. we ordered the garlic breaded cheese curds, amazing! My husband got a combo with ribs, chicken & brisket, that came with 2 sides. He said his meal was delicious, his favorite was the ribs and brisket and the side of cabbage/bacon/carrots. I ordered the pulled chicken with fries and added the saline salad. The chicken had great flavor & was tender. I would definitely get it again. I wish I could have substituted a side for the salad, or that there was a green bean or broccoli option. But overall great food and excellent service!! We will definitely be back!!
From JJ our waiter to the ribs, chicken & brisket our food was fabulous. The beans were some of the best we’ve had & Cole slaw was good. JJ was a very attentive waiter. We’ll be back.
Our waiter was amazing. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The warm corn bread that we were given with the menu was delicious. However, we tried the brisket which was fatty and the ribs which were ok. The sides were fine but nothing special. Fries on the menu were supposed to be real potatoes cut with the peal still on but the were just frozen and fried. Service was fast. Perhaps it just wasn’t flavored like we like. If you like BBQ, give it a try.
Stopped by here on May 1, 2022. Not our first visit but haven’t been in quite a few years. We were pleased to still love it! Super fun environment and family friendly. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food met my Three T’s Test: taste, temperature, and texture. I had the Brisket Philly. Husband had the Reuben. Corn muffins were tasty also. Really sad we didn’t leave room for dessert as it looked phenomenal in the display case. Highly recommend and would return again. Check out our video on our visit on my channel on YouTube.
