We almost missed going to the Bakeshop ... which BTW is more than baked goods! We picked up sandwiches, drinks, and yes, cookies! YUM!

At the time my husband and I were visiting, this was pretty much the only on- site open for lunch. There were only two restaurants open and there was a long wait. Not wanting to go offsite, we decided to take our chances here. They have cookies, muffins, chips, cold drinks, and small selection of salads and sandwiches. There are a few tables to sit on outside of the bakery, but not enough

Walked in by accident, smelled the ginger cookies and went crazy. Fresh baked, no chemicals, preservatives or other junk. Just wholesome yummy.

On the cool days, this was great for a warm drink and a quick rest. On the warm days it was great for a cold drink and a quick rest. We even grabbed lunch here one day. While the lunch choices are few (turkey sandwich, garden salad, chicken salad, and maybe one other thing?), the line moved swiftly and there was enough seating for us to take a load off for a few minutes while we ate. The tables and benches in the back are movable, so you can always have shade (or sun) if you want it. The baked goods are delicious and my dad liked the hot cider so much he ordered it all 3 times we went to the bake shop.

We had blueberry and corn muffins. In addition, I had a Smoked Virginia Ham sandwich . They wee all above average, Nice places to sit outside.

One of our favorite places to visit at Williamsburg. A smart spot for a quick snack. Baked good are fresh daily from Williamsburg. My wife loves the ginger cookies. The Williamsburg Ginger Ale is delicious too. Not a huge selection like a formal bakery, but plenty to choose from and it's all good. Great atmosphere and secluded courtyard to snack on purchases.

Selection is near to poor. No more Gingerbread cakes. They can't bake any. It used to be available everywhere in Colonial Williamsburg. Now it's been sent to Raleigh Tavern. It opened at 9am. They were sold out at 1050am. Poor. Big weekend for Williamsburg and they were not prepared. Sad

Narrow selection of baked goods that are significantly overpriced. At least they have a very nice outdoor patio to sit and eat.

Amazing to have the fresh smell of baking ginger cookies. Alas it’s not the recipie from the 70’s

Cute small place with outdoor sitting. Their pecan pie is my favorite. It's the best I've ever tried.
