Ate here today for the first time in years. Food came out super fast, hot and was reasonably priced. Wife loved the ribs and BBQ sauce. Overall fantastic meal.
The best BBQ ever! The fries are cooked perfect. The collards are cooked in-house and taste like grandmas’s. You definitely need to try the baked beans! So yummy! Actually, everything is yummy! You need to check them out! It’s worth the drive!
I love to try BBQ when traveling. Who knew that one of the best in VA can be found in Williamsburg. After a long travel day, we opted for takeout. A whole smoked chicken, half a rack of ribs, mac and cheese and potato salad. Plus lots of their signature vinegar based sauce. The chicken was tender, the ribs were lean but not falling off the bone. Good flavor on the ribs. Mac and cheese was creamy and so delish. Potato salad had lots of flavor. I thought I could taste a hint of apple in the sauce. Unexpected but good. Although they were busy and training new staff, the service was very fast and our order was perfect. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. My only regret is that I passed on the homemade chocolate cake. It looked so tempting.
Highly recommend Pierce's. Prices are great for the portions you get. I haven't been this satisfied with a meal in a long time. The meat was delicious and the sides were even better somehow. Don't let the busy parking lot discourage you. Orders are fast and worth every penny. I'll be going back every time I'm in the Williamsburg area.
50+ years in business. This is a very popular spot for locals and anyone who likes BBQ. My wife likes the smokehouse chicken sandwich better than the pork BBQ. A little known secret is the burgers are very good but you will have to wait at least 20 minutes while they prepare and cook it.
The food had a Great flavor. Despite their signs about being short staff the food was out fast and hot. My only thought- they need to post a sign about the 20% card charge?!
Getting a seat was problematic as there were a number of tables merely socializing after completing their meals while other customers waited for a place to sit. Weather was not conducive to outdoor eating. The food was fantastic, however, and was served up relatively fast and hot.
They have delicious food! Sometimes there is a bit of a wait. The type is more Carolina style so if acid effects you, you may want to have something other than BBQ here. I have had the burgers and they are equally as delicious if not better! Definitely a well known place to go in town!
We enjoyed our meals outside on picnic tables. So awesome. Great smoked chicken, pork, ribs, sides, and sandwiches. We will come back again
When a restaurant gives you a souvenir cup, you KNOW the food is going to be good. The pulled pork sandwich blew my mind. The fries were great. The mac & cheese was solid. This is as good as it gets, people.
