I really wanted to like this, based on the reviews. Issue was with customer service on 6/7. Our food took more than 45 minutes to arrive, seemed like our server was ignoring us (no drink refills, eventually stopped coming to tell us our food was coming soon). Multiple tables that were sat after us got their food. No manager ever came over to explain or talk to us. Food would have been ok had it not been sitting under the heat lamp or in the window for so long- our Branzino and pasta were so dry. Top it off with an auto gratuity for our party of 6 and a paltry "free" dessert, and I don't know that I can be convinced to come back, or recommend this restaurant to others. I know the owners see these reviews and do not comment on the negative reviews, so I guess take it for what it is.
Outstanding food and service! What a treasure this restaurant is!
Food: The best pasta I’ve ever had! The chicken pasta even reminds me the hometown dish of chicken stew with mushrooms in Northeast of China. And the Alfredo sauce is nicely matched with cheese.Service: Mr. David is so nice! We love his recommendation. The dish comes to us fast. Btw, he has wonderful relationship with old customers. Lovely waiter~
Excellent food. I almost never give a 5 star rating. Our waitress Karianne was very friendly. The garlic bread was the best I have ever had. Portions were good. I would recommend to anybody. Deserts and desert drinks were excellent. I forgot to take a pic of the desert because I ate too quick.
Maurizio"s is one of the best restaurants in Williamsburg. We eat there on every visit to Williamsburg. The great Italian food is always well prepared and tasty. Excellent service.
This place is absolutely outstanding. Everything we had was delicious. Elena was so sweet and attentive. The owner was also very nice. I highly recommend Maurizio's!
Wow about sums this place up.. the food tasted homemade and was some of the best italian food i have had. The garlic knots were wonferful as well as all the other meals. They were busy but got us seated fast and the staff was wonderful too
We ordered food the night before for pickup and the food was good. Decided to order again from the same restaurant but placed the order for pickup instead of delivery by accident. Called the restaurant to ask if this could be changed and was given the manager to speak to. After asking if the order could be switched he vehemently indicated that this was not possible. When asked if we could just order the same items from the delivery service and have this order cancelled the manager proceeded to use inappropriate language and actually swore at us on the telephone. I indicated that this was inappropriate language and not necessary as all I did was ask a question. I also indicated that I would come and pick up the food as I had indicated initially from the outset and did so. Was offered a free bottle of wine for the poor language and way this was handled by this individual. I respectfully declined and instead am posting this for customers to avoid this restaurant as this type of service is uncalled for and there must be better Italian restaurants in the area that will provide good food and impeccable service.
Wonderful food with exceptional service! We are really looking forward to another visit while we are in town. We were too full to try a dessert but they looked great, hopefully next time!
It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was very busy so they were unable to seat us. The host was extremely kind and facilitated us at the bar after only a few minutes of waiting. Staff was friendly but very busy. Food was very good, best part is they give you garlic knots as the bread. In most places this would be an add on appetizer but they give them with your meal and boy are they delicious! I tried the small pizza along with my pasta meal and it was very good.Prices were reasonable for a tourist area. It's not cheap but they're in line with what I would expect.
