Best margarita I've ever had and a wonderfully unique dinner entree! Our server, Jeffrey, was very attentive and genuinely wanted to ensure that we were satisfied. Great food, great atmosphere, excellent spirits!
Been wanting to go for a couple years when we come to visit. Decided to finally go. The place is amazing looking. Pleasant people. Large good portions. The drinks LOOKED amazing but didn't get any. The food was good. The service..well SLOW and not attentive. Took over 35 minutes to get our food. Never came back but to give us our check and to pay
Service was great. Food was very large servings and excellent. Be careful, the large margarita I’d huge. Highly recommend.
In a nutshell, the service was very good, there was a huge choice of dishes and the quality of the food (and portions) equally good.
Family and I have been visiting Williamsburg this week and had the Mexican food itch and checked out Jose Tequila’s down the road. AMAZING! One of the most unique and creative menus (while also still offering more “familiar” texmex fare) I’ve seen. I decided on a monstrous entree called “The Fortress”. A rack of ribs tied into a tower and filled with chorizo, steak, shrimp, BBQ sauce, and queso. It was not only an impressive display of deliciousness but it’s taste matched it’s appearance! I know many people when on vacation would normally skip a Mexican restaurant, especially if they’re used to frequenting one at home, but I promise this one is worth the visit! This will definitely be a “must have” meal for our future Williamsburg trips! Service, atmosphere, etc were also all top notch.
Drinks - greatFood - okayStaff/experience - awkwardMy friends and I received stares from staff during our entire visit. Not sure what the employees were looking at, but it was uncomfortable. We made the most of the night, and left our tips, but personally would not recommend this restaurant to clients and visitors.
What a pleasant surprise, greeted at the front door, seated and within a minute had chips and salsa on the table followed by drink order. Our waitress, , Ambar was pleasant and dinner was served very fast considering the restaurant was packed. Food was hot and truly Mexican, just enough spice. Would recommend anytime in Williamsburg. .
This is our second year visiting Jose Tequilas. The food tastes great and they provide a large serving. The fajitas are enough for two people. Wait staff are attentive.
I ordered a large carry out order by phone today, including two ala-carte tacos. When I came to pick up the order they changed the ala-carte tacos to full dinners, with THREE TACOS each! I insisted on ala-cart and they refused, so I had to cancel my order..The dude who took my order and who then insisted when I came to pick up my order that I had to order full meals was very arrogant. OK …if you want to be so inflexible to lose the order, and get a bad customer service review, so be it. Here is my opinion, you lost my business, and I’ll share your unpleasant attitude. Avoid this joint one and all. Normally I cut some slack but this guy is not interested in good service.
I have to say we were quite surprised by the food and how busy it was. Being from NY didn't expect the great food that they provided as well as the killer Margaritas they served. A must visit restaurant if you are in the area!
