The place was great and the food was amazing. The portions are very good and our waitress was great.

Amazing place. New in the area and I have tried about 10 other restaurants and by far, this is the best place. Delicious food, great service, and Howard the owner, you will see him serving tables like any other person, very humble.

The food is fantastic. Love the atmosphere too. We had Grace as our server and she was so sweet and did a great job explaining everything.

We stopped at food for thought in Williamsburg for lunch on a Sunday - there wasn't a wait before noon but when we left 35 mins. The food was solid, boneless tenders with house buffalo sauce, yes please, pot roast and meatloaf...fantastic, will put you right to sleep. Bread was even great. I don't eat fish and chips but allegedly it was also good. Bathrooms were backed up for a while, slight inconvenience.

My husband and I went there for lunch. He ordered the meat loaf meal and I ordered the pot roast meal. Good size portions, food was delicious. Emily was our waitress, very attentive and friendly. We were also greeted by Erica, the manager, as to how our food was. Definitely worth a return trip.

My husband and another couple stopped by here on the way to a weekend in Jamestown and Williamsburg. The food was delicious--I was particularly grateful for the restaurant's commitment to no antibiotic meats. We had hearty lunches which filled us all served by attentive and thoughtful staff.

In Williamsburg to see the sights. It’s not far from the Great Wolf Lodge where we are staying. We went for an early dinner around 4:30pm with my 3 year old toddler and so glad we did because by the time we left the place was packed with a wait to be seated. This place is a gem. Everything was delicious and felt homemade. Loved the soft bread rolls with cheese baked on top. My son got the grilled shrimp dish from the kids menu. The crab chowder had a great flavor and I really enjoyed the pistachio crusted chicken dish (that nutty chicken) with mushroom gravy with a side of their beets. Instead of mashed potatoes they let me sub broccoli. The blood orange margarita was refreshing and the key lime pie was so good! Service was great and the food came out quick. They also cater to a lot of dietary restrictions for those that have allergies or intolerances. I highly recommend stopping here to eat if in town.

We went based on reviews. The staff were great. The dining experience is like a chain restaurant. Food sides were served in cups. I ordered salmon which was overcooked and thus dry and not very flavorful. A scoop of mashed sweet potatoes in a cup on my plate and beets in a cup on my plate. 2 people ordered stuffed portabello. They reported this as very tasty. Presentation was fine. One person had pad thai, reported as ok. One other had steak and crab and reported steak and crab as verygood. So a mixed bag. I had higher expectations.

My husband and I are locals and had dinner at Food For Thought this evening. The meal was fantastic. I had the Stacked Portabello and my husband had the pot roast. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was wonderful and we will return soon!

Food for Thought, Incredible! This thought provoking clean eating restaurant was just outstanding. Food and Service both were exquisite. Our server was friendly, fast, well trained and organized. We had a wonderful experience with jokes and funnies. The entrees, desserts, drinks and appetizers were just delectable. All of the menu choices are hand picked by the owners and managers specifically to ensure a great customer experience. The adult beverages were perfect, great price, right punch etc. The Tea, was great! The tap water was not filtered but I wasn’t at this restaurant for water. I definitely recommend Food for Thought for anyone interested in clean eating with a twist of mental stimuli.
