Love this place. My family and I eat here EVERY weekend. Ms. Lori is the best and the food is yummy.

I've been searching for a more traditional Jersey-style diner since I moved down to Hampton Roads and this place is one of the few I've tried in this area that gets anywhere close. Food was great, exactly what I expect from a great diner. Biscuits and gravy especially... YUM!

Terrific local diner. Food and service are consistently good. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.

Had breakfast with a friend and 30 minutes after opening and they were really busy. We sat down immediately and got our coffee and order in really fast. So the crowd didn't slow them down at all.Breakfast was great with the Greek omelet. Omelets down just right. Many places let it sit on the grill until the rest of the order is ready. The omelet had just the correct amount of squish and a bit of crispy around the edges.Coffee was good.Looking forward to next time.

Great local atmosphere! Blueberry pancakes are delicious!

First, I love a greasy spoon diner. Second, when I go to them, I never expect 5 star service. This place is horrible, however…..The cafe closes at 2pm. We walked in at 1:05. I think that was our mistake. They were too concerned with going home. The hostess pointed over her shoulder to where we should sit. The server was borderline rude, forceful at best. Typical breakfast order. Pancakes for my sons. Biscuits and gravy combo for me. I asked if it came with toast and was told, “that’s why it has biscuits.”When the food came, the bacon orders were old and greasy. I quickly tasted the gravy. I told the server that the gravy is cold, and not even warm. Without a grunt, mumble, or a word, she carried the plate away. Next you hear the microwave being used. It finishes, and here comes the biscuits and gravy again. She put the plate back on the table, and walked away, again without a grunt, grumble, or a word spoken. This is the last time we saw her during the visit. As we’re eating the meal, we hear two men behind the brown wall trying to get things cleaned up for closing. “No more orders” “I’m tired of this sh*t” “It’s always like this every dam Sunday”. Just part of their conversation. This place is so bad, that for the first time in my life, I left a $0.00 tip. Yeah. It’s that bad.

Really good diner fare. Huge portions. I had the Big Chili Omelette - three eggs stuffed with a lot of hash browns, green peppers, and onions, and covered with meaty chili (I was thinking green chili sauce when I ordered). I also had a side pancake, which barely fit on the plate. I wound up taking more than half my meal to go.

Had seven people and they able to handle us. We were there for breakfast before going to see the Jamestown Settlement. Breakfast was great, everybody was happy from my nephews and niece to my Mom. A wide selection for everybody.

I had read so many great reviews of Five Forks Café and finally had the opportunity to try it out.The service was pleasant and fast, the omelettes and corned beef hash were very good. Homefries were perfect. We will be going back again!

This place was great. The portions are with the money. I'll be back for another great breakfast.
