The Culture Cafe is perfect! A wonderful location with amazing food and delicious drinks. Michelle is amazing to work with, and she helped me host a perfect private gathering in their upstairs loft area. It's very cozy with a cool vibe and great decor. Highly recommend if you're looking to host a small-medium sized group in Williamsburg!
Fantastic! Best food I’ve had since moving to the area nine months ago. The vegan tofu bowl was so good I could hardly put down the fork! Great service, terrific smoked hickory old fashioned and, a rarity for vegans, dessert! The Chocolate Depression Cake drizzled with chocolate syrup, strawberries, blubes, and blackberries is heavenly. Great coffee, too. Love the decor and atmosphere, and getting the check inside a 1935 grammar book is special. Cannot wait to return!
Take 2 was just as good as our 1st visit.Take our advice: try the fried cheese curds.And either There she a Rose or The Slice specialty coffees. Burger: everything a burger should be. And...now we have to go on a Saturday or Sunday, because that's when their brick fired oven is working (with bread for the sandwiches and pastries).
Awesome atmosphere, friendly funny staff, attentive service, and most importantly scrumptious creative delightful dishes! Even the bathroom is fantastic. We went for Sunday brunch and also got a complimentary crepe. Their croissants are incredible, super flaky.
Inconsistent. When it’s hot it’s hot & when it’s not it’s not. If you order delivery or takeout on a busy Friday or Saturday night, the wait can be up to 1.5 hours and the food is prepared with haste, so it lacks quality. Ex, order a wagyu burger medium-well and receive medium-rare. Ex. Order a quinoa salad, which arrives dry. Now, if you order on a non-busy night, you’ll receive delicious fare.
Food options are good for me as I'm vegan so I had the breakfast bowl which was very filling. My lady had the waffles, oysters and eggs with grilled bananas which she loved. Out waiter Andrew was very attentive and helpful. I would come back again
UPDATE: - upgrade to 5 stars! Went back today for a full lunch,. GREAT food. Loved hearing they make their bread fresh each day! It was all delicious. Burger was amazing The food BOWLS are excellent. We were very happy As a cook/chef myself, it is very hard to eat out but I love the food and service here. Last time I had just a soup which was also excellent.
Today it was my seventh time here and anytime is a great experience! I love the way the waiters and waitresses welcome you and make you feel like at home. The food is always perfect. Today I tried for the first time their crêpes (served on Sundays for brunch). Delicious! And we also ordered a frittata with ham and cheese. It was done perfectly. My compliments to the chef! Also I don’t want to forget the amazing croissants, focaccia and bread. Their many kind of breads remind me of the bread I used to eat in Italy in my hometown: crunchy outside and soft inside with a very nice flavor of fresh-out-of-the-oven “pane”I always feel happy from the moment I pass that little white door and step inside the very large and welcoming room full of interesting objects. A very unique atmosphere with a great choice of background music are creating the wow factor. I love your many antique books you use to present the checks.Thank you for been open during this moment of national crisis and to Serve us your friendly and warm smiles together with your food.
Had a beautiful morning at culture cafe today! Excellent crepe, the BEST chocolate croissant made in house, and a delicious mimosa. Will absolutely be back soon! Resisting the urge to go back tomorrow ?
Wow. Great place on the corner to eat! Wonderful atmosphere. Ate Friday, when they opened at noon. Not too crowded. Food was outstanding and delicious! I had the deviled eggs topped with smoked trout. Then I had bourbon beef tips. Oh my word! Yum and yum. Definitely try the Culture Cafe!
