The elegance of the decor is very elegant, and the food is perfect plus great place to be
Well it was worth the $50 a person with 3 bars of food and friendly service. There is plenty to eat and enjoy. From salad to pasta, fish crab legs steak veggies and more. The desert bar was also amazing good. You get a complementary coffee with your desert. So stop on by with a credit card and eat some leg.
Great food, wide variety, fresh and clean + excellent service! Arrived around 1pm and were seated immediately. Darvin(?) And Travis took very good care of us ensuring no plate was left on the table, no bucket full and no drink was left empty (not even close!). We received better service here than we typically do at a full-service restaurant. 10/10 experience
The two of us ate there on a Thursday and Saturday. The crab legs were meaty and firm. No problems with them. Other items were hit or miss. Fried oysters were above average and I've had better and they were small. My friend had mahi mahi and liked it. Didn't like the salmon. The wait staff, as you've probably read in other reveiews, was top notch. We had Jose'. We asked for him the second time around. My only real grouse was the alcoholic drinks. I had the frozen pina colada and it tasted yummy but I couldn't taste any alcohol. My friends drink, a margarita, you could taste the alcohol but I thought it was light. So I should have said something but I didn't. We'll go back again the next time we are in town. But be honest! You go for the crab legs!!
Tabatha gave the greatest service & always made sure we were doing okay and made sure our drinks were always filled. this captain george’s in williamsburg is the best location i’ve been to out of the 3 i visited. i’d rate it 100 stars if i could.
We tried the Captain’s Feast for 1 and the basket of fried oysters. Their seasoning was just right. It wasn’t too spicy or overpowering. I would have given them 5 stars except for the fact that our feast was supposed to have crawfish in it and there was none. It just would have been nice for them to let us know if they did not have any. The curbside delivery was convenient. The very nice waitress came out twice, first to take our payment, then to bring our food. Great place. We’ll be back.
We had 4 buses of 5th graders and chaperones. They were very accommodating and friendly. We had an Amazing dinner. The manager on duty even took the time to show some of our students and parents with allergies the buffet prior to us eating. All the waiter staff were efficient and kind. There was plenty of food options. We will definitely be back!! A++
Wow great seafood buffet. Steam table with clams, oysters, and crab leg clusters. Then a full salad bar with hot food like meatloaf, seafood, and fresh vegetables. Lastly a desert bar. This place is worth it if you are hungry
The buffet was ok. Maybe a little pricey. The servers and waitresses were very nice. They would only give you two clusters of crab legs at a time. Desert bar was so-so.
My server was Vaughn and he was professional, outstanding, very attentive, polite, friendly and efficient. Dishes/plates were removed promptly, beverage was refilled without having to ask. In actuality, Vaughn delivered better service than the actual taste and quality of the food. Yes the different food selections were vast with something for everybody, but you can taste the difference in quality of the food. There was nothing new in items on the buffet from earlier years, only an increase in the price which is almost $50 per person now. The steamed clams most of which were overcooked were very small with many empty shells. The fried oysters tasted like they were frozen, definitely not freshly shucked. Of course the crab legs are still available, but now someone serves them to you each time. Overall for the price charged, it is reasonable for a seafood buffet that includes other meat choices such as fried chicken, BBQ ribs, etc.,many dessert and vegetable choices. If you are in the area, it is worth trying and I am sure you can find something to suit your hunger. If you can, ask for Vaughn to be your server, you will be well taken care of during your dining experience. I forgot to get a spoon to eat my she crab soup, but he noticed that I wasn't eating it, so he asked if I needed something, I asked him to get me a spoon and he immediately brought me one and wanted to know if I needed anything else. Everything was done with a smile and you just know that is his personality, not just someone working at being nice to get a tip. Try Captain George's and hopefully you get Vaughn.
