Nice spot for a relaxing lunch. The tuna salad on croissant special was quite good, the portion was large the fish fresh and the croissant flaky but firm enough to hold together. My companion's mahi-mahi from the dinner menu was slightly over cooked and a bit dry. She enjoyed the rest of the plate. Rob was a knowledgeable, efficient and attentive server and Michael recovered my cap that I left on a seat! I would be happy to go back the next time I visit Williamsburg. A point to consider: parking outside the restaurant is limited to one hour but the lot across the street is not and the first two hours there are free!
Great menu selection and excellent food and service
Good & Friendly Food and Folks; always an excellent and enjoyable meal
The interior of the restaurant looked tired, however, the service was excellent and the food was beautifully plated and so delicious! Amazing food!
Coming to Williamsburg. We always eat at BERETTS. Love it
We always eat at Berretâs when we visit Williamsburg, sometimes even twice if time allows. This time, we were here for our 45th wedding anniversary, having spent our honeymoon here. Berretâs wasnât here then, and weâve seen the rise and fall of many a restaurant, some excellent and some just so-so. Weâre glad Berretâs is still here. Not a chain .Seafood is always fresh and prepared perfectly. Really like their crab puffs. All of the offerings were appealing . This time, we both had the 3 skewered shrimp, with baked Mahi Mahi and mango bbq sauce, crab puffs, and 3 cheese grits. Excellent. Great service and food arrives timely. Please visit this local restaurant and support it during these trying times so they can continue serve up great seafood (they have steaks ; Iâm sure theyâre great , but thatâs an accommodation for seafood haters in your party- stick to the seafood!). **Update July 17th** Second trip**as I said in the opening , sometimes we eat here twice. Unplanned and without a reservation, I thought we could walk in at 6:30 pm Sunday night and it would not be busy. I was completely wrong; they were slammed, with no availability for an hour. But the manager wanted to accommodate us and found a 2 top for us in 30 minutes. We certainly appreciated his effort. Again, it was worth the wait. My wife had seared scallops and I had 2 regular crab cakes. Both entrees did not disappoint. Delicious. For dessert, we split a slice of the lime tart, which was just enough to top off another great meal. Service, again, was exceptional, with no delays in food prep. This was a great way to end this Williamsburg trip. Weâll see Berretâs the next trip! And if youâre reading this, trying to decide whether to go or not, the answer is book your reservation and book it early (we just got lucky tonight(.
Always a great seafood meal. Tommy was a wonderful waiter. Crème brí»lée was delicious. Enjoyed our dinner as always.
Always a great experience. Mike our server was pleasant and attentive. One of our favorite places in the Burg to dine.
Food was delicious, server was friendly and efficient, noise level wasnât bad, in all a very good experience for our family.
