Do not patronize this restaurant if you’re a minority or military. They are not friendly and racist at this place! They refuse to serve us even though the door clearly said dine in and carry out welcomed! The owner stated that she would call the police on me if I didn’t leave the property. I wasn’t vandalizing the property nor causing harm to anyone! I simply stated the door Implied they allow dine in! The manager and her teenage son comes outside the restaurant to inform me that we aren’t welcome there and I shouldn’t be upset about it! They were taking pictures of my license plates. Meanwhile I’m looking at people dining in the restaurant. I’m flabbergasted that they would treat someone this way. My husband is currently serving in the U.S Navy on deployment and I figured this would be a great place to eat considering it supposedly serves Chicago style pizza! What a disappointment on this establishment. Definitely not how someone would be treated in Chicago! I was also asked if I had a right to own a handicap sticker? REALLY! Didn’t know that mattered to eat at a pizza place! However yes I do! My son was born blind! I will never never come to this place ever again! I pray they get new management soon!
We were blown away by the kindness of the owner tonight who so graciously allowed us to be a part of their annual Chicago party. The food is always great here (the cheese is under the sauce), the staff makes you feel like family, and they even have a little gaming area where my daughter loves to brush up on her pool sharking skills. Ten out of ten would recommend.
I was very reluctant to spend $20 and up for pizza. How good could it be just because it was "Chicago " style pizza. I now stand corrected. We got a pepperoni deep dish, which takes 45mins to cook. We got salads while we waited for the pizza to cook. It was so good. You could taste the freshly cut tomatoes right away. The crust was crunchy and the cheese was abundant. I’m a big guy, but I could only eat one and a half pieces. Had lots of pizza to bring home. We differently will be going back.
Eh it was okay. I personally would not want to have this pizza again. It was fine but def had better. Pictures look better than the taste. The server was friendly.
Great food, good service. Will definitely return!
Usually I thoroughly enjoy my pizza, however, the quality is steadily dropping. Tonight's pizza was a deep dish that wasn't cooked all the way and still had the shredded cheese texture, and a thin crust with a long, blonde hair in it. It was baked into the pizza and held 3 slices together. Then when I tried to call, the line had issues. Not sure what's going on but they've lost their quality. It used to be the best pizza when I started frequenting back in '15 but has since declined. Customer service is okay, but has also declined.
I ordered from here, keeping in mind allergy preferences for a friend with allergies to tomatoes a couple times. They were able to give me an alternative sauce the first time. The second time they continuously asked me “are you sure? Are you sure?” And gave me a pizza that the bread was wet and drenched. I think the second time they just put straight up melted butter as the sauce. The first time my friend said it was delicious; and I had some and thought so as well. The first time they made it seem like an alternative sauce order that was normal. The second time they made the order seem like it had never been done before; and they didn’t know what they were doing. We ordered anyway; and the bread of the pizza was drenched to the point it was broken apart. The only thing I imagine they substituted for tomato sauce was straight up vegetable oil. I imagine they did it an experimental way as though the first time didn’t happen. Communication at this establishment is poor.
Pizza is great but Jesus christ the service is terrible. I order pick-up all the time and it’s never ready at the promised time no matter how busy or slow they are. I even go as far as to show up 15 minutes late and I still have to wait 20+ minutes for my order.
Great nice local Chicago joint, party of four dining in and ordered a large regular style Chicago pizza and two sandwiches. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Excellent service, would have been five stars if the sandwiches were a little bigger but overall a excellent Chicago style pizza and sandwich shop
Just like Chicago. Can't wait to go back
