We visited Vietnam Garden because we had hosted Jolie on her visit to the DC area. Jolie's mother runs the restaurant and we were so well taken care of. The food was wonderful - the spring rolls, the noodles, the tofu with mixed vegetables, the salad. I loved the idea of serving lettuce with crispy spring rolls and I wrapped the spring roll in a lettuce leaf and the resulting textural taste was superb. This is how I will always have crispy spring rolls in the future. If you are a vegetarian don't worry - the vegetarian quality is very good and I know since I am a vegetarian. And the hospitality was amazing. The food feels very healthy and no added preservatives or fats - so just like home cooked food. The bathroom was amazingly clean and to me when a bathroom is so clean it means the restaurant takes cleanliness very seriously and not just for show. Finally at the end giving us sesame bars instead of the usual fortune cookie is a gem. The fortune cookie I usually never eat because it is unhealthy, but I loved the sesame bar. This really is a gem of Virginia Beach that is one of the best places to get lunch or dinner there when you are at the beach.
By far my favorite Vietnamese food in the area and some of the best ive had outside of Vietnam and France.I'd reccomend the Beef Pho or really anything im the Chef's Specialties section that sounds good to you.IMO, this place is a great for the quality of the food to the price. The owner is an extremely nice and kind person (she often is the waitress). The only downside and I use that word super loose in this instance, is if you dine in, don't expect a "fancy" resturant. Personally, I care much more about the food than the ambiance of a resutrant, but if youre looking for a "fancy" resturant this is not the place for you.But in pretty much every other category you can't go wrong with this place.Last little pro tip on the off chance someone not familair with Vietnamese food reads this and wants to try it. For Pho i'd highly reccomend actually trying it with the sides/sauces they give you. They really add to the flavor a ton of complexity/goodness. Ive taken friends before who were timid to try some of them, who after trying mine realized its a kind of more the marrier thing. Dido on the sauces in other dishes. Dont let the smell of some of them turn you away from at least trying it, it smells terrible (due to fish sauce) but it tastes REALLY good.
Not great, my vietnamese auntie said it’s a bad representation of vietnamese food and all these other reviews are lying
Super fresh and delicious. Peaceful vibe. Great service. The food was perfect!
Excellent service and very clean restaurant. The food was original and made to order. I thought they were very good compared to other California Vietnamese restaurants I have been in. I would recommend this place to eat.
I've only eaten lunch here twice but I'll definitely be back many times in the future.Interestingly I have not tried the pho yet. There's too many other awesome dishes to try first.I tested the place with a benchmark item, bún thịt nướng chả giò. It was outstanding. Next was bánh xèo. Another home run!Vietnam Garden is going on my regular eateries list. Great food, great staff, great service!
My family went to Vietnam Garden Restaurant we speaking Vietnamese to order food the waiter didn’t understand. The menu all written in Vietnamese but the food doesn’t not taste like Vietnamese food. Horrible taste!!! I am not recommended anyone to come this place for Vietnamese food……please check before you enter to this place
Best Vietnamese in VA Beach hands down. Family owned, great atmosphere
Pork vermicelli bowl was sooo plain. No condiments on table.
We have been visiting almost every Friday for the past 6 mos. Food is delicious, consistent and tastes like homemade. It seems like they put a lot of care and fresh ingredients in every dish. Love the music! Friendly and very polite staff; our favorite restaurant in this area hands down!
