The good: * Suite is fairly large and is equipped with a full kitchen * Suite overall was in good condition * Pools are great for families * Suite was clean at check in The Bad: * the hotel seems to have no staff! We did not receive housekeeping service once in 5 days * The common areas were also not serviced. There were overflowing garbage bins by the elevator landing (5 days), dirty underwear and half eaten chicken wings in the staircase (also for 5 days) * The mattress of the fold out sofa was horrendous and in need of replacement * The mattress in the bedroom was also in need of replacement * Concierge calls you every day to join the companies timeshare events * when we asked for towels we received them on the floor in front of our door in a large garbage bag * everything in the suite felt damp (carpet, floors, sofa) Overall: * Better than most hotels in Virginia Beach but just OK in my opinion. * Lack of service was disappointing (i understand that it may be difficult to find staffing during COVID but to not provide any service was not OK for the price we paid. At least inform your guests prior to arrival)

Spectacular property & resort amenities, including a mini water park with 4 pools! Staff went above & beyond. Rooms are comfortable & well appointed. The views of beach and ocean, including sunrises, are memorable. Would be high on our list for a return visit!

I would not stay here again. We had an ocean view room. Our room overlooked a large generator that was very loud. The sound of the generator and our room air conditioner made the balcony an awful experience. I sat out there once for less than 3 minutes and could not stand it. Do not get an ocean view if you plan to stay here. On the bright side the staff was very nice and helpful.

Just Okay. Our family had to make a quick trip decision after our Florida plans were ruined by Elsa. We were enticed by this resort and the price was right. This is in no way a resort even though they charged us over 100 bucks in resort fees for four nights. Also at check in you will be hit up immediately for a time share sells pitch. The rooms are tiny. The beds were a full size at best. The ocean view is often a side view but we could see the ocean. Upon checking in our room was not very clean. I did not raise a fuss as we were exhausted but the carpets were stained with some sort of red juice. I went ahead and wiped down our tiny table and counters. It was a little gross what I was able to wipe up. The bedding was clean and the shower appeared to be clean. Parking is free . The garage is a block away from the hotel. Also there is no house keeping service during your stay. You will be expected to take your own trash out. There is a trash chute in the hallway. You will have to call for fresh towels / more toilet paper ect if needed. I will say they were quick with those requests. Yes they have four pools however they are all tiny. One is for 21 and older the other three which are all grouped together are for kids and families. There is a tiki bar but we did not try it as the prices were outrageous. Example 8.50 for a kids hot dog with chips. Overall it was an okay place but we would prefer to stay at the Hampton inn ( we stayed there 2 years ago) over this diamond resort.

My family booked a trip from 7/2/21 - 7/12/21 at Oceanaire. We drove 5 hours to get here. From the outset, our vacation was a horrible experience!!! 3 times prior to our arrive (1 month before, 2 weeks before, and the day before) we called the front desk and were assured we could/would receive an early check-in. On the day of arrival, the front desk staff refused to honor that promise. They were extremely rude and condescending to us. My family of 4 had to wait 2 hours in the lobby (seeing 3 other guests checking in early with no delays)!!! When we complained with how were were treated, we were given a gift card ("COMP") to ease our discouragement. When we finally checked into our room, the problems continued. Our room was not ready for our arrival. The pool out couch was not pre-maid (as is customary). There were no additional blankets in the closet (as is customary). We had to call the front desk and, after a 45-minute wait, they were delivered. Our toilet stopped up for no reason so we had to get an engineer to come up and unclog it. Then, around 4:30 AM one day, our refrigerator was making horrible, loud sounds. We called to the front desk again and were told an engineer would not be available until 7:00 AM. I unplugged the unit and re-plugged it in and the sound went away. Around 10:00 AM, we finally received a call from the Director of Operations who was very apologetic for our experience. He offered to replace our refrigerator, which we did. Around 45 minutes after replacement (9:45 PM), the water under our sink exploded and water went everywhere!!! We called to the front desk again and demanded an engineer to respond, along with the general manager. The engineer responded along with Crystal F. (General Manager). They saw our faucet malfunctioned (Not user error) and fixed it. Crystal then assured us there would be no more COMPS for us, which was extremely demeaning and insulting. The Director of Operations also stated that nothing was wrong with the refrigerator and suggested I intentionally damaged the sink to cause the flood. Nothing was said at the time because my son s in the room. The next day, I sent an email to Crystal and cc'd her supervisor as well as the CEO of Diamond Resorts. Within 90 minutes, Crystal was knocking on our door with the Director of Operations to tell me that because they could no longer provide us with service to meet our needs, they required us to leave, offering a refund for our stay. We begged them not to do so because we drove 5 hours away and we had two children. They didn't budge and demanded that we leave, threatening to call the police if we failed to do so. My family then left and drove 5 hours to return home. This is on 7/6/21, only 4 days into our vacation. We will NEVER stay at this "hotel" again. We would receive better service and accommodations at a Red Roof Inn!!! Please think twice before booking here!!!!
