All the reviews mention inconsistency and watered down smoothies. I experienced this twice in the last month.1. Why are the windows all blacked out? A customer has no idea what is going on inside, this creates additional lack of accountability on staff.2. Why is this location still listed as dine in? You have to go through the drive thru TWICE to get your order. If you are drive thru only, why can’t staff bring the order out? They treat this place like a fort under constant external threat ??♂️I think it’s great that the company responds to most reviews. But they are empty and thoughtless responses if you are not actioning any solutions.Please stop rolling over and enabling the decline of this location. I would love to come by after the gym and get the peanut paradise again.
What a horrible, abrupt and ignorant manager they have running this place (who's name I cannot provide because they refused to share it with me). I arrived at the location to get a mobile order, but the young lady could not find it under the name listed in the app (turns out they had it under the name on the card for some reason), so I gave her the order number to try. After a few attempts to, she was still unable to find our order. That's when this prime example of an appallingly heinous customer service manager stuck her head out and started shouting at me, demanding my phone. With the order number and confirmation in hand, she was still unable to realize that the large order sitting on the counter was in fact the order in question. Unfortunately, this ignorance turned to hostility as she realized the name confusion. She proceeded to yell and chastise me for the problem, even though the name on the order confirmation, as we both saw, was the name I said. Maybe she should understand how the technology of her establishment works, and ask politely for another possible name, rather than angrily displacing blame onto others. Oh yeah, and the order wasn't even correct, go figure.
Can’t say enough about this location❤️I called from Maine (yes Maine to VA Beach) hoping for the least to arrange for a co-worker of my daughter to stop in and pick up a gc If I could purchase over the phone,For her birthday. Instead I was blessed to have Katie, the GM and the phone and she did so much more! She went above and beyond the call and delivered it to my daughters place of work (just around the corner). It’s her bday and she is holding down the fort during military deployment.This was a great experience with Tropical Smoothie Cafe of Haygood Rd. To feel the love, respect towards military family and hospitality was a pleasant welcoming experience.Thank You TSC, Katie GM from Mama Bear in Maine
Oh gosh, Tropical Smoothie is not what it used to be!! I ordered the Thai chicken wrap and hummus wrap and both lacked freshness and flavor. The banana was also green and severely bruised. This location is still currently drive thru only and they don’t accept anything larger than a $20 bill. Next time I am looking for a healthy lunch, I’m going to try Clean Eatz in the same shopping center.
This location has some of the worst customer service now! Kathy (spell check) has a attitude, I called the store a few times, because I made a mobile order, I needed to customize, but there is no place on the app, to customize this specific thing, so I pulled up to tell her, and she stated “well the smoothies are already made”! And I told her I understand that but I called ahead of time, a few times, she with her nasty attitude, still proceeded to hand it to me, after I told her that is not how I wanted it!!!! she said that the phone is broken and they already made it, which I understand, but that is not my fault Kathy!! The app does not have a place to change that and the phone is not working, that is a tropical smoothie problem! Don’t take it out on customers. What happened to the old crew members?
Listed as dine in, but is take out only. You get in line to order and then you wait in the parking lot until your order is ready. Then you get back in line to pick up your order. If you are on foot you walk through the drive thru and then wait in front of the door to the dining room for it to be ready. Stupid way to run a business. Will revise if they open up dining room.
i went to tropical smoothies yesterday with my mom since were not around this area. We decided to go to tropical smoothie. I went to the nearest one which was the hay-good shopping center . So we ordered 2 mango magic . We waited a good 12-13 minutes and then the thing they gave us beeped ... so we waited in the line their were 4 cars in front of us . We didn't mind at all .. But we got our drinks the service was great and eveything but the drink was not delicious at all, it was straight up wet water . i was not happy at all with my drink . I called and wanted to speak to the manager on duty and the young man that answered said there was no manager, so i asked him to see if i can come tomorrow to get my drink replacement and he said no , its not my fault the drink was water down and didnt taste right and was not worth the 6 dollars . I dont have any problem with the service its just the drinks theyre serving . So i highly recommend drinking it before leaving the store . I was not happy and didn't enjoy the water smoothie

I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Wrap Combo online as shown on the site. I also added a separate salad to go along with the Combo. Despite having to wait 12 minutes after the scheduled arrival time, the manager as expressed by the other reviews provided poor customer service. Despite the site advertising the Combo Wrap as a separate item she refused to honor the listing that the Comb Wrap x 1 and Shrimp Salad x 1 that was ordered online should include a wrap and salad for the amount pre-paid. I had to dispute the charge with my Bank for failing to provide the product I paid for.
Horrible customer service ! Older woman in drive thru was very rude and when I asked for a refund and her name/manager she proceeded to lock the drive thru window and call the police. I had my 12year old daughter and BABY in the backseat. Shocked is an understatement . the cameras need to be reviewed so she is FIRED ! I have never experienced anything like this in my life.
