Tin Cup is a really nice restaurant. The lemon drop was perfect. The appetizers were great. It was a bit confusing (being that it was my fist time)on how to add your name to the list to be seated. I guess I was expecting someone to be there to greet us.We ending up sitting at the bar for over an hr while we waited for a table on the patio. Once a table was ready the host swiftly walked past and said they are getting table ready but we can only be seated AFTER we closed out our tab at the bar (which was fine) once the tab was closed we were sitting there thinking he was going to come get us and 15 more minutes passed and we had to quickly stop him when he was rushing by to ask about our table and he said “oh I thought you were gonna come up to the front to close it” not sure why we would have done that since we were sitting at the bar , so then, instead of showing or leading us to the table, he starts to describe where we could FIND the table. And the whole thing was just weird. Once we found the table the waitress came 15 mins later to take our order. I’m giving this place a 3/5 because the girls at the bar were nice and the food and drinks were good.
WE really enjoyed our food & the service was awesome! The restaurant manager, Feodoras, is fabulous! A couple meals were just a little delayed in coming out and he was very accommodating to us! Our server was also so excellent.. I believe her name was Joyce... Big smile & very friendly, happy, positive and efficient!!
Awesome Atmostphere! the food was great!
Started off by being seated at the corner table, and given one dinner menu for 5 of us to share, and no oyster menu. We did eventually get our own menu after asking our waitress for more. Before I start, oysters were really good. Waitress was very slow and not very attentive. Ordered oysters and drinks first. Oysters and 4 of 5 drinks arrived in a timely manner. The last drink(butterfly something)came after we ate 3 dozen oysters. Apparently, they pre portions items and didn’t have any portioned out. Panini bread was burnt on two entrees, fries were luke warm at best. We sat menus off to the side, where they sat until after we left. Paid $38 for lobster Mac and cheese, and got served soft drink in clear Dixie cup. Very noisy. Had high expectations, but left very disappointed.
Honestly I should have read the reviews before coming here but after a 6 hour drive we were hungry. It should get 5 stars just for the view but the actual restaurant experience goes against that. After finding it extremely difficult to get a table outdoors where there were at least 4 empty tables we were sat down by extremely disorganized staff. When we asked about which beer was good we were told that none of them were good. The $38 crab cake entree was bland and the rice was hard. The Cuban was alright and the fries were good. At the end we waited so long to even ask about getting the check that my friend went back to the hotel room. The view was great, the mosquitoes sucked, the food was just ok and the service felt unfeeling. After looking through the reviews my concerns seem to be pretty popular throughout. The only reason I'd return would be for the view and maybe a drink. I hate to leave a bad review but I left this restaurant in a bad frame of mind.
Beautiful outside dining! However, on a Friday we waited 2hours for just a chicken sandwich, crab cake sandwich and wings. Service was very poor. Sadly, the outside bar service was terrible stood there about 20 mins before being noticed and he poured my wine in a plastic cup. I asked could I have it in a wine glass he said no not on the outside. However, other people had wine glasses. If your going for a beautiful view on the beach by all means GO! Service on Friday was not so great.
Fantastic restaurant, and not just as a hotel restaurant, although I am staying at the Delta.First night I got into town late and was greeted with friendly smiles at the host stand. Was lucky enough to sit on the deck (there’s only 6 tables April 2022) you are right on the beach, you can hear the waves and smell the sand. My waitress was FANTASTIC, attentive, kind, and happy to be serving. I had oysters at restaurants throughout my trip, but the ones I had at tin cup were by far the best quality. The burger was perfectly cooked. My only wish is that they had more local beers on tap.I returned to the tin cup for breakfast on my last day. Sat outside once more on a brisk morning. I really wished there had been a little sunlight on the deck (it’s completely covered) or an option to be seated at the picnic tables on the beach. The same waitress greeted me, and remembered me from 4 days earlier!! Best feeling in the world. I ordered the Belgian waffles, which are apparently a crowd favorite. They were ok, a little too sweet for my taste, and I really wished they had some fresh fruit on the side. Overall, I will definitely be coming back when I’m in Virginia Beach.
Food was absolutely delicious especially the short rib entree & mashed potatoes!! The service was phenomenal even though the staff was extremely busy serving a Marine function, my husband and I were served fairly quickly. We even ordered food up to our hotel room the next night and the food was presented and tasted as though we were actually dining in the restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend Tin Cup Kitchen & Oyster bar!!!!
So we stayed at Delta hotel by Marriott Valentine’s Day weekend and I must say our favorite part was Tin Cup! We had dinner then returned for brunch service from everyone was amazing we didn’t get a chance to get photos of dinner but here are some from brunch! Make sure you try the supreme Bloody Mary you won’t be disappointed! A huge thank you to management Paul and John also our servers Bella and Hannah you guys rock! Can’t wait to return!
I had such a lovely time at the bar tonight! Leo and Jason greeted me and chatted with me while I decided what to drink. Their suggestions were wonderful, and they were so accommodating while I sat and did some work. Hannah was also serving, and was incredibly welcoming, warm, and kind. It was such a great experience! Please look for these 3 phenomenal bartenders when you stop by.
