I got the Vegan Lettuce Wrap Entree. It was kinda expensive, but it was awesome and worth it. best in Hampton Roads. Big portions and plenty of lettuce wraps. Also came with an amazing sauce and a small white rice. i mixed the white rice towards the end to make more stuffing. This place isn't a cheap Chinese spot but the dishes are great and the quality is higher. I bet the lettuce wraps with meat are even better. 10 stars. i will be back.
Food was awesome. Definitely will be returning
We stopped in for lunch. The szechuan tofu was okay (I thought it was way too sweet and could use more vegetables). The lettuce wraps were okay too (I found it too salty). Staff was friendly. The booth where we were seated had a massive, unrepaired rip in it. Given the choices available in town, we likely won't return.
The food is extremely good and service is excellent. They were very busy but I didn't have to wait long for my food. I will definitely be coming back here.
Food was good as always.went for lunch on Valentines day to beat the crowds for dinner. They werr not offering the lunch menu at all. Hadcto pay more because only dinner menu all day. Kind of like price gouging.Management should think teice about this practice. 5 stars because food and service were excellent.
1/2 Peking duck, sweet and sour chicken, chicken Lo mein, fried rice, sweet and sour soup and 5 shrimp rolls. $87 dollars. Aweful, overcooked, greasy and unimpressive. Could have ordered the same from yummy wok in Ghent and had a better experience for $40 bucks less the duck of course which was salty rubber. I am a big sweet and sour soup fan and threw the whole container away after the first bite. Granted this was take out and folks tend to give shining reviews for eat in cuisine. Tonight was a huge miss. Aweful. Everything was the same color over cooked and terrible.
We stopped by and placed a pickup order. It didn't take long at all and they had our order ready to go. When we got home and ate the dinner it was great. Everything we needed was in the with the food bag. This is one of our most favorite restaurants to eat in and take out, even though it's all the way across town for us.
Mira did an excellent job of hosting my family of 25 to celebrate my parents 51st wedding anniversary. We had an entire dining room and she had the table set and 2 servers (Sarah & Trevi) assigned to our family. We had 3 appetizers (calamari, sesame pancakes and dumplings). For our main entrees we had fried flounder, ribs, seafood bowl, and duck. The food was brought out perfectly and there was so much food that everyone was able to take some home. I would highly recommend The Imperial Palace for the best Chinese food and atmosphere. Mira takes pride in her restaurant and the happiness of her customers.
Food and service is outstanding! Absolutely love this restaurant! Thank you Sue, Mira and everyone else!
Absolutely love Imperial Palace! One of my favorite places to eat in Hampton Roads. Not only is the food amazing but the owner and staff are so welcoming! Also very accommodating for large groups!
