It was a two hour wait but I talked to other patrons and had a drink and it made the wait not so long.. The food was great and the staff was really nice. I will return.

It was amazing!!! Drove a little over an hour to get there and it was a two hour wait but they have a nice little outdoor bar that you can get the most fantastic drinks so it made it enjoyable and once we got the food it was incredible by had the barbecue biscuit and it was to die for! I will definitely be back!! Yummy

Great place with great atmosphere and great food. Might have a wait but worth it!

You're going to love this place if you give it a chance. Let's start with some disclaimers that you should be aware of. First of all, this place is always busy, and there's always going to be a significant wait. Fortunately, staff overstate the wait time, so you'll usually be seated without having to wait what you were quoted. Second, parking is valet only, for no particular reason at all. Third, this is not a cheap joint. If you understand this going in, you will be rewarded with an incredible bonanza of food, served fresh and hot, by super friendly staff. Sydney at the bar is super helpful, professional, and attentive. While waiting to be seated, there's an outdoor bar offering some great drinks, the cheapest of which will set you back at least $8. You'll receive a text when it's your turn to be seated. I was a party of two, and we were seated at the bar inside. We were quoted 45 minutes to wait, but were seated in 20 minutes. I had the Lieutenant Dan with grits and added a biscuit. My friend had the stuffed French Toast. We also got a Dirty Hippy breakfast burrito to go. The recipes are authentic, rivaling any I've had on the West Coast (California), and even Paris, France. The specialty coffees are singular masterpieces of visual delight. You will probably not be able to consume fewer than 1500 calories regardless of what you order, and you should expect to pay no less than $65 for two people. Add in a bar tab from while you were waiting to be seated, and a valet parking tip, and you're well above that. One curious phenomenon... I was charged an automatic 18% gratuity. I'm not used to this practice unless I have a party of 5 or more. We only had 2 in our party, so I was surprised by this. I definitely would go back and try some of the other fabulous menu choices, but I would pass on the alcohol and side orders. Solid recommendation!

If you are looking for a proper southern breakfast, this is the place to go! We went based on prior reviews and were not disappointed. I had the crab Benedict, which I highly recommend and everyone else had the big farm truck breakfast. The biscuits were the biggest and fluffiest I have ever seen or tasted. The grits were fantastic and I don’t even eat grits. The pancakes were perfect. The coffee was the best I’ve ever tasted. It was a nice added bonus to enjoy a Bloody Mary in the garden area while we waited to be seated. The kids enjoyed strawberry lemonade. This meal was one of the highlights of my vacation. A must visit for sure!

My daughter lives in Norfolk and has taken me here twice...both times didn't disappoint. There is a wait, but they make it very convenient to do so. Scenic seating while you wait is everywhere, in lovely shaded pergolas or in the sun during cooler times. And the best part is you can order cocktails while you wait from the outdoor tiki-style bar. They are all excellent! Honestly, we had more fun waiting to be seated than we did in the actual restaurant which is a bit crowded and hectic. Inside is charming; outside dining (where we sat both times) can be a bit hot in warmer months, even with fans blowing and sitting in the shade.

Bee and the Biscuit would have received a 5 from me but the biscuit was dry so it came slightly short. I started off with the biscuit basket and seeing that they were big, I would assume they would be hot and fluffy when opening them. Sorry that was not the case. I ordered the latte flight and it did not disappoint each latte was good. My favorite was the cinnamon toast crunch latte where you could taste the flavor throughout. My entrées were the stuffed French toast and the cowboy Benedict. The French toast was light and flavorful with a touch of orange making it great for light eaters that want bread. Next was the cowboy Benedict...Definitely worth it. Flavorful sausage gravy with plenty of bacon and a well executed poached egg...come here definitely for the food choices. My biscuit for the Benedict was good though the sausage gravy improved the texture of the dish. This place will never lose business and is definitely a great local staple.

It was our second time here. We went on a weekday for brunch, thinking it won’t be crowded but there were lots of group waiting. The food was delicious both times. We were happy to be there and enjoyed inside and outside/porch dining. The staff and our server were very nice! Awesome place for family and friends to celebrate birthdays! We will visit again.

Y’all This place is EVERYTHING! I went for my birthday brunch & the full party of 7 enjoyed their food. Get the mimosa flight, stuff French, toast, or steak & eggs … Also Karen delivery great service.

As many others have given this establishment a 5-star rating, The Bee and The Biscuit is an absolute must if you are in the area. This is a unique farmhouse property that has lovely characteristics and wonderful food & drinks. I had the Big Farm Truck breakfast pictured. Residing in the northwest; I had to try the cheese grits, which were absolutely amazing. I wasn’t expecting the pancakes to be mind blowing since so many places do them for breakfast. I was wrong. Their pancakes were SO good. I loved everything about my breakfast and visit here. A couple of important things to note; when arriving, if coming from the beach area, your GPS take you to the one-way exit only of the property. Just keep driving past the house and you will see the entrance. They have valet only parking to help expedite departing & arriving because this place gets BUSY. If you don’t have cash on you, you can use the Cash App or Venmo to give you valet a tip if you wish. With how popular this place is, especially for breakfast on the weekends, if you want to have no wait, you need to get here AT OPENING. I was a single, and showed up right before 8am on a Sunday. I was told it would be a 30-45 min wait and was surprised the entire restaurant was already packed. Luckily there was a seat open at the bar so I didn’t have to wait, but something to keep in mind with your day. You can order some boozy drinks or coffee from their outdoor bar and take a seat in their outdoor courtyard while you wait. 10/10 would recommend.
