Ordered a bundle for Father’s Day gift. Order wasn’t ready when I arrived. Had to wait 30 minutes for it, while parts of it sat around getting cold because no one would finish the order so I could be on my way. Kitchen staff was rude and apathetic and didn’t care when I tried to complain. Thankfully a server was kind enough to finish the order. Bad experience and not worth the effort since the food was not as great as I remember it being in the past.
BBQ connoisseur - I come here every time I am in town. The NC pulled pork is great; you can add your own sauce (they have a selection) or have it as is, which is what I do. The people that run the restaurant are SOOOOO nice!!! They have indoor and outdoor eating. Can walk to oceanfront.
This how BBQ is supposed to be done! Counter-service restaurant serving up a good variety of BBQ and sides at very reasonable prices. Located a couple blocks off Atlantic Avenue, it was surprising to find a place this good in VB. We ate here two different times on our recent visit. I had the 1/2 BBQ chicken the first night and a pulled pork sandwich the second night. Both were delicious. Loved the sides as well - cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad, mac & cheese. It's a shame that there aren't BBQ places like this in New York.
I got Bully BBQ combo, I was impressed with the customer service just as much as I was by the food. The pictures don’t do it justice because I got it to go and drove 30 minutes before. It travels well and the way the bagged it up, everything was warm when I arrived to eat. The pork bbq or the potato salad were my favorite, the collards had a strong vinegar taste which I really enjoyed. The beef was just as good but the pork stole the show. I will be trying the entire menu in the near future.
You know its good when the locals eat in a place. The place was packed with fire fighters, ems, construction workers and other people who worked in the area. The line reached almost outside. The brisket and onion rings was the best. All the sauces were great too. Not so muck a fan of the brisket. Pulled pork was ok thoigh not super soft.

This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the food really fell short for me here. I love BBQ, and I'm always looking for new places to eat. Beach Bully fell short for me. For 22 dollars, I got a platter. The pulled pork was good, but not very flavorful. The brisket was cut in very small slivers and coated in a sauce that overpowered the meat and tasted "off." Mac and cheese fell short too, but the beans were really good. I also didn't like the sauces they had on offer. The staff was also a 3/5. Not rude but not friendly either.At the end of the day, Beach Bully is an adequate restaurant and dining experience, but if I'm craving BBQ, I would not choose it over other restaurants in town.
We ordered takeout here, and it was "okay," but not amazing. The meat was pretty greasy (for example, all of our buns on pulled pork sandwiches just kind of fell apart and we tried to eat them with forks) and the sides were pretty average. Packaging did the job, but we had liquid from a side spill in the bag and make a mess, and either the liquid or grease caused another paper bag to literally break (not a big deal because the paper bags were placed in plastic). I will say they have a lot of options for meals, their prices are great, and service was friendly. We would maybe try it again. Based on other reviews, I think this place is probably great when dining in, and maybe it's just not as good when taking it home.
