Our salads were fresh and the dressings (we had Bleu cheese and balsamic) were delicious. The bread was soft and tasty. We went back the next day for sandwiches! They offer lots of snacks to spice up your beach experience. We are now addicted to their cheese sticks!
Best sanwish in Virginia Beach, but they are slow as snail, to much choice for a non prepy guy as me....healthy drinks so low level of sugar, ask for house dressing, you wont regret it....if you are coming from Charlesville this is your Bodo,
Convenient sandwich shop with decent pricing for a beach resort location...only drawback on this occasion was the online ordering for pickup was unavailable, so we had to go inside the store, wait in line to order, wait for the order to be prepared...30 minutes.However, the food was good! I'd say the first non-heavy meal I had all week which was great. And the inside of the store itself had meals/sandwiches/salads pre-made to go if you choose not to order off the menu...and a wall of assorted wine to browse as well. I'll come back...hopefully the online ordering will be up and running.
The food has to either be that good or Taste was giving away money because the line was ridiculous. It's not the fault of Taste, it's just everybody wanted sandwiches! They are great btw and their brand of potato chips are superior to Lay's! Definitely worth the wait!!
Worth the walk a couple of blocks inland from the beach for the modern atmosphere and above-average lunch fare. Also includes a small market.The sandwiches are served on oversized bread, and cut in half. It's enough to share if you're not too hungry. The chicken salad is very good. In place of the yucky, sweet craisins that are so popular in "gourmet" chicken salad, it is punctuated with delicious, savory bacon. Wonderful!They also have coffee, but nothing fancy that requires an espresso machine. They do not serve breakfast, but they're open early for lunch at 10 am.You order and pay at the counter, and they give you a number to take to your table. There are a few tables outside.
This is a local chain but very good! Friendly staff and fresh ingredients.
As a local and very frequent customer I would like to encourage the management / owners at Taste to consider bringing back their original point systems for a freebie!. With the new point system I feel like I have to buy 1000 sandwiches to get 1 free now. . It’s WAS a nice perk or all the locals that support Taste Unlimited. Common now Don’t be cheap! Give your customers some summer fun back!!
Quick easy local sub shop, its a bit too commercial,it,s not as friendly as you would like from a local place. The employees are hurried and they give off a persona of, hurry up and order I have other things to do. (Just the Vibe they give off) it’s clean and good eats but if you order a head and pick up you don’t have to interact with the staff.
The Beach Club sandwich is awesome! Fresh made and fills you up. You won’t be hungry for awhile.
Flavors are really good and they do offer gluten free rolls as a sub. My roll was stone cold though, like right out of the refrigerator and stiff. It broke into crumbs when I bit into it. It's probably really good room temp or warm, though didn't have much flavor cold. The Virginia ham was really good, as we're the chicken and potato salads. Service was very good.They only offer gf rolls, no other gf baked goods. They carry some candies and snacks that are gf. There is no indication that the sandwich meats and fillings are actually gf.
