Nice family owned hidden gem, best sushi in VA and they also have Korean dishes which is amazing!!! This is my always go-to spot and always coming back! Late night vibes here are wonderful, it’s so relaxing with alcohol beverages!
Delicious ? Miso soup and California rolls and sushi ? all fresh and great variety. Only place I’ve tried yellowfin and it didn’t taste fishy ? great food all together, would recommend.
The food is just beyond delicious! Sushi mama is doing an awesome job making beautiful tasty rollsBut oh god service is a downside. Server forgot to put it in my bfs food in and obviously wasn’t honest about it. Sometimes you just have to tell customers the truth and say you messed up. I was done with my sashimi by the time his food came out. Still left a 20% tip but I’ll stick to take outs like a did before. Again, their sushi is top notch! Just hard to understand how server forgets stuff when there’s like 3 small tables in a restaurant..
This was my first time here at Sushi Mama, I got the lunch bulgogi and the Alaska roll. The bulgogi was decent and comes with white rice and lettuce. The Alaska roll was cooked salmon and cucumber and came with a little container of soy sauce, wasabi and sliced pickled ginger. The roll was pretty small but had good flavor
I ordered the Seafood Katsu. It was a good portion of rice and seafood and the dipping sauce was good. They were out of salad but I got a Miso soup. I sat at the bar. Service was good.

This is a tiny little hole in the wall. Japanese and Korean cuisine. The food is absolutely amazing. We had everything from sushi to pork bulgogi. Appetizers and sake. Everything was perfect. The service is great. The dishes came out purposely slow. One course at a time....perfect.
Went here today for lunch as I saw they also had Korean food. I am a big fan of Korean food having lived in Seattle for about 15 years. I ordered the spicy pork bulgogi which was delectable. The service was excellent the food came out quickly and the ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. From this one experience I will return and would highly recommend this. The prices are also very reasonable by today's standards
I hate to even have to leave such a disappointed review but definitely necessary. Please hire more staff. There’s no such thing as order ahead here. The sushi is great when it’s not rushed and falling apart. The worse part is the wait. This has happened on multiple occasions where I order and am told 30 mins. Just to wait over an HOUR for the chef to even start my order. Absolutely ridiculous. !!! Idk if it’s a staffing issue. But please fix it. I’ve canceled my order before due to it being an outrageous amount of time gone by and my food not even being started.
This is a great spot of you're looking for sushi! Went here with a few friends of mine and we were stuffed by the end of lunch. Definitely recommend.The service is incredible and the food is expertly created. 100% recommend this for more than just a special occasion.
