We are here traveling from Texas. My kids wanted to surprise me for my birthday and selected Sugar Plum bakery. My son was impressed with their customer service and theirturn around time. The cake was so tasty and moist. We highly recommend this bakery if you are in town. They also have selections available for drop ins.

Fantastic shop. Never had an item we didn't love, outstanding customer service and willingness to help and make sure your visit is a great one. One heads up. It is expensive, you pay for quality and a great shop, but do expect to put out some money. Doesn't take away from my reading as I knew prices when I ordered but for those first time visitors be mindful
After much research of bakeries in the area I decided to try Sugar Plum Bakery for my birthday cake this year. I picked up the Mozart and it was everything a cake should be! We returned a few days later on the way home to get cupcakes to share back home. Not only do I love the whole idea behind this place but the people (service) were amazing and the cake, cupcakes and doughnut we got were all top notch.
Very friendly staff. Birthday cake was very delicious. Also had the brownie and cheese cake dessert bar and it was lovely.
My daughter asked for a red velvet cake for her birthday ? and she was so pleased when we went to pick it up. It taste delicious ? very moist. THANKS AGAIN!
So delicious! I'm due for my baby in a day, & have been having a sweet meltdown for a week. ? I discovered this place last week, & haven't came until today. So many options! I never took a picture of the cake I got yet, but I have these instead that I dug into at the same time! ?
I am from Louisiana but the bakery's back home were not mailing King Cakes this year for Mardi Gras. I ordered a King Cake from Sugar Plum Bakery but was disappointed to realize that it is more of a cinnamon role type pastry with icing. No baby in the cake and no filling. Overall the cake was good but definitely not a King Cake.
They make amazing cakes everytime we have ordered. Super moist. Great flavors, super nice and great customer service. And, they employ people with disabilities. Hands down its the best bakery in Virginia Beach!
Personally I don’t think 5 stars is enough!I have been in bakeries from NY to Fl and grew up in VA! This bakery is A number one, Top Self all the way! The bread, cakes and etc. are outstanding! This will now be my personal bakery for everything!!Do yourself a favor drive over check it out you will be so happy you did! Best Bakery in Va Beach and Tidewater area! (Best part they hire the handicapped!!!)
I've eaten at a lot of bakerys in life. This one is exceptional. A fantastic selection & everything tastes incredible! Fun, fast and pleasant staff. I will definitely be going back for more!!! ?
