This would’ve been 5 stars and I would definitely recommend. The food was all around delicious. My halibut was a little dry and they served it with no sauce, because the kitchen was too lazy to make more. The fry mix was excellent as well as the she crab soup and risotto! There were some lack of service we believe she could’ve been new. All around they did the right thing the atmosphere is gorgeous!

This is a very eclectic placej. It's buried in a residential neighborhood. They have great outdoor dining if the weather permits and a very nice back grass area that you can walk around near water. I found the food to be very high quality and the vegetables be from their local garden. The service was on point no issues there. Pricing, check their online menu, it can be a little expensive. With tip it's about $100 per person with drinks. The interior amniance and the price points just don't match up for me. I Think they should spend little bit more effort on the interior getting it to match their high-end menu.

Very large portion of fish, she crab soup delicious as usual. Not enough or any insect control for outdoor dining though the no see-em natts were very bad . Didn't make for enjoyable dining.

What a beautiful place to visit and dine. opened in 1939 and has a beautiful garden area.I has the shrimp and scallops over risotto which was simply amazing. My husband ordered the rock fish with extra veggies and was amazed at the piece of fish he received. The fish was delicious. Larry was our waiter and he was so pleasant and accommodating. this place shouldn't be missed.

My grandparents and parents have enjoyed this place for generations but the first time I was able to experience them was 7 years ago when my now husband, took me on our first date here. We've celebrated almost every anniversary dinner here, friends birthdays, and other special occasions but Last night, we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. The service is ALWAYS top notch and the food has never been short of incredible. We had the butterfly fried shrimp for an appetizer (as we always do). For the entrée my husband ordered a dinner special of Rockfish and succotash, and I ordered the Tomahawk with a twice baked potato. I completely didn't pay attention to the menu and had no idea it came with sides, nor did I realize just how big it would be. But for reference, my husband's plate is a normal size lol. While I absolutely didn't even eat a quarter of my plate, it was all phenomenal and it came home in a doggie bag. We also had the Key Lime Delight pie and a Kahlua Coffee Chocolate mouse pie which were also *muah chefs kiss*???My ONLY request would be to bring back the homemade Strawberry Shortcake w/ vanilla ice cream that they used to make. It was truly THE BEST in the area and when my husband took me on our first date it was for dessert and drinks so it's a little sentimental to me too.But I will forever recommended this beautiful and long standing establishment!

Steinhilbers, one of the best in the country. Fried shrimp? Best in the country. New York quality staff and operation. Atmosphere, soothing. Drinks? Elegantly served. Professionalism, Ambience and Delicious. Kelly, superb restaurant professional. Waiter Desireé super charisma, elegant and charming, a young pro in this business... Second waiter Trish? 1000 watt smile and warmth, another with that big league professionalism. Highly recommend this and then.

Having eaten here on a previous occasion I foolishly recommended Steinhilbers for the birthday dinner of a friend and colleague. Reservations were made a week in advance and we were seated at the table next to the kitchen access. (Well, somebody had to sit there, I guess.) Appetizers were good. The lobster bisque tasted pumpkin based and was cool. My filet and my wifes rib steak were atrociously over cooked. They were returned and done right on the second attempt. Our guests fish was under cooked. Desserts were good. When removing the entree dishes the bus rubbed a greasy knife against my shit inadvertently but never apologized when it was mentioned. Overall a 2-star out of 5 experience. Given the great meal we had here the first time we will hesitantly give Steinhilbers one more shot but if it's anything like the last time. It will be the last time.
