Almond bear claw delicious! Breakfast sandwich on sour dough was large and delicious!
I just left the bakery its been a while since I been there. I'm disappointed in the baked goods. The staff is nice but I won't be going back. I'm not impressed with the baking at all. I have said this before. I came back three times in past year and I can't. Today I got two croissants. They are hard and Flakly and the taste is OFF.!! I don't know it taste like flour no flavor. The scone is okay but has a chalky texture to it. They had samples out today and looked delicious until I saw flies hoping all around. That can be considered a one off, but these pastries are a No no for me. No offense to the nice ladies, but quality over quantity is better. This is bad and all this is going in the trash today. Money wasted. Well actually I will eat this scone!!! . Also can taste residue from other baked goods on the croissant as if the baking sheets are being reused before they clean the surface so I can taste something salty and spices on the bottom if this croissant.
First time yesterday, and i was so impressed by the quality of their delectables ?) Yes, It is a little pricier which is understandable as I can tell they use quality ingredients and you will definitely tell the difference In their products compared to most similar products around that have added flavors, chemical additives, preservatives etc.. I’d much rather pay a dollar or so more to a business that obviously takes pride in their product ( and you are also supporting a great small business that I hope stays there for years to come ! ?) if you go you won’t be disappointed- BUT don’t be on a diet! Lol For the Management if you read these- I rarely give my input on reviews but I think your business is worth it! Yesterday we bought the blueberry cheesecake, tiramisu, Napoleon, and spinach feta bear claw. All were yummy- I have a couple of suggestions for what it’s worth ? -cheesecake was absolutely Delicious! NY thick baked style ( I think?) but the ratio of cheesecake to crust was a bit unbalanced to me- the thick crust was great, but the crust was almost equal to or more In some places than the actual cheesecake filing? Maybe keep the crust that thick but make the filling just a little thicker? And the bear claw- yummy, but there was barely any spinach or feta inside? Hardly anything but the bare minimum thinnest amount. It would be perfect if you put in more ( probably noticeably more) of both ingredients. As far as the Napoleon and the tiramisu ( both are often not made well-and I’ve even travelled to their places of origin.) both were absolute perfection! ❤️ Please keep up the great work.
This bakery is a delectable gem that smells like grandmas kitchen before Christmas. When you first enter the establishment you inhale the deliciousness and you will purchase more items then you intended. The items may seem pricey but they are worth ever penny!!!
Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Accidentally came in five minutes before closing and staff was still extremely nice. Helped picked stuff out for us and told us the HOT items. I loved everything! Even at the end of the day they had a pretty good selection and still tasted fresh
Nice and friendly staff. Adorable bakery with a lot of options. A bit on the pricier side (the French Number was $8.95, Bavarian Bear Claw $6.95, cookie $2.69, Raspberry Bearclaw $4.25). The flavors were good and my family ate everything! I would suggest displaying prices so customers know how much they are spending.
Quaint little bakery but not too many options, and pricey for the sandwiches and pies they do have. Their Bearclaws are yummy but take a while to be warmed up and cost a little bit too much for its quality. However they do have amazing beautiful custom cakes!
We like going to this bakery because it is down thestreet for us.We usually go there on Saturday mornings to get a croissant and chocolate croissant since we are french and miss home sometimes. The bakery is nice, we are giving 4stars because we have experienced better in France and we think some improvements could be made with the pastries.Croissant and chocolate croissant are not always fresh and crispy, but when they are they are good.We tried the Nutella bear claw and thought it had too much sugar on top, the puff pastry is a bit bland. I would recommended adding salted butter into all your puff pastries batters for a twist, different taste, add orange blossom water maybe too (see french puff pastry recipes), or go to La Brioche in Norfolk. It might be based on personal preferences based on all the French Bakeries in France we went to, but … their are the bomb and we think your Bakery has a great selection but each products can be improved.Maybe our suggestions are too french, we know we are in America and are happy to have an option close by.
I bought a bear claw, a slice of apple pie and a peanut butter cookie. This was all $16. Too expensive! If the food was great, then it would have been better. The bear claw had no flavor. The peanut butter cookie was too sweet and I could barely eat it. The apple pie didn't taste fresh.
Have been eating here for 5 years. Favorite place to get a breakfast sandwich or grab a quick pastry. A little pricey, but worth every cent. Highly recommended.
