Excellent food! Great atmosphere! Very reasonable prices! Highly recommend the Chorizo Tacos! Delicious!

Big time kudos for their gluten free and vegan offerings. The margaritas were tasty and inexpensive. The chips and salsa have room for improvement. The atmosphere had good vibes, and was a fun place to hang out. The service was patient. The food is a solid 4 stars, and we waffled about whether to bump it to 5 stars out of respect for the fact that they clearly accommodated gluten free and vegetarian diners, but alas, "4" won out.

Went there to eat. Parked our car and went to the door. They were closed, so disappointingly walk to another restaurant. Came back and vehicle had been towed. Tow bill said owner of restaurant called it in...smh, and he knew we wanted to go to his restaurant first....well, never again, will be get a dime from me, my friends or family !

I would rate this a zero but I physically can’t the food taste disgusting and plain I think I can stick with my morning star and that one vegan brain in conclusion this food is hot Pack of trash :) btw this is supposed to be a vegan Shrimp not a block of tofu I’d rather have my homed cooked meal:)(Vegan rating) My son posted the review above because he was obviously upset about the meal (we were hungry). I was also very upset to pay $51 and not want the food (we threw away all of it) (2 order of shrimp tacos and quesadillas). I’m sorry, it was really nasty. I’ve tried vegan tacos from different places and they use temp, season it like they would regular shrimp and it taste like shrimp, or they buy the frozen vegan shrimp and jazz it up. The tofu used was very dry and bland block. There was very little “spicy sauce” and the sauce had no flavor. The tacos were stuff packed with cabbage with the tofu block hidden in the cabbage pile. I think if you’re going to charge people $16. 99 for tacos give them food worth the money. I practically paid $16.99 for cabbage on a tortilla. In my opinion, it’s hard to find vegan food and vegan food is very expensive (when packaged meat substitutes are used)I feel like people just want to give us a salad with bland food and say we should be happy because we’re vegan. I wish I could at least get 1/2 my money back. I feel like I flushed $50 down the toilet . I appreciate that the owner reaching out to see what shrimp to use, shows they care. Buy vegan frozen shrimp and SEASON it up. Add some flavors to the dish.

We fully enjoy our meals at Pelon’s. The shrimp tacos I had were delicious and there are vegan options on the menu that my wife enjoys. I recommend going during happy hour for better pricing as the cost can get expensive otherwise. Chips and salsa costs extra which is my only complaint. I always get to Pelon’s when I am in Va Beach.

Pelon’s is a must-visit for anyone who has ever lived, passed through, or stayed in VA Beach. Their fish tacos are things of legend packed with Baja flavor. The street corn is always subpar but stick to their strengths and you can’t go wrong. Their burritos are also gigantic.

Good but not great. The atmosphere is cool which makes you want to love it but overall it’s just on par with your average 4 star Mexican restaurant on every other corner. Currently the overall google rating is 4.4 which I think is extremely generous. On this last trip I had the fish tacos and the fish was cold and the toppings were just ok. I saw some reviews saying best fish taco ever and I’m thinking “is this the only fish taco you’ve ever had?” On a scale of 0-10 I’d give it probably a 5-6 maybe a little more if it actually came out hot. Our party of 5 last time all agreed that the food was good but not great. In the picture is fish tacos and the nachos my son got.

I thought this place was absolutely delicious! I got the vegan carne asada nachos and they were phenomenal. A friend got the same but vegetarian version, and another friend got a non-veg burrito. All of us were totally satisfied.Pelon's had an overall good vibe and was playing some of my fave music too ?

Got the California Burrito and was NOT IMPRESSED at all. After tax - came out to $14 dollars and honestly was very over priced for what I got. Steak was ehh, cheese was not melted, hardly any flavor of salsa or anything. Just a greasy burrito with a nonspecial flour wrap. Chipotle makes way better burritos for cheaper. Do better.

Very delicious. Generous portions. Decent price. Clean place. Friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more.
