Absolutely loved it! Large portions and great atmosphere. Their fries come with any meat of choice! Will definitely go again.
I'm from San Diego and I have ordered Carne asada fries and it came out delicious, everything was fresh.Closest thing to Cali food I have tried in VB.
My friend and I have started spinning a wheel to decide which new place we're gonna try next. Today it was No 1 taco.I had carne asada tacos w/cheese, esquites and a Mexican coke. She had the birria quesadilla and carne asada fries. Tacos were pretty good but the esquites had a little too much mayo for my taste. She enjoyed her quesadilla and the fries were good as well. Im not a fry person but would order them with the quac on the side as it was warm. Everything was really good though.
From East Los this is one for the best Mexican spots I’ve tried in Virginia.I’ve tried a lot of the “recommended” spot and nothing compares. This hit so close to home.
Absolutely amazing. Would be nice to have a street sign to see the restaurant. Look at the window for the No. 1 taco sign. Tacos are as close as you’ll get to San Diego street tacos. A bit on the pricey side but you get what you pay for without the west coast politician’s. Elote could have a few more seasonings but good for what it is. Birilla tacos are what they are known for as well as their street fries. Very impressed by their portions especially in todays market.
All about the fries. This is a great fast taco place. The tacos were really good, the fries were great. Carne Asada was really tasty. The carnitas were juicy but a little bland for me. The sauces were very good and had good heat.
Yes! Thank you! I haven't had a decent Californis Burrito or Carne Asada Fries in years! This hit the spot and was DELICIOUS! I was only able to eat 1/4 of the fries before I filled up! Massive portions! Great food! Great staff! Clean! I will definitely return.

Very good street tacos! I was certainly hesitant after only seeing a handful of reviews, but the food was very good! Good tortillas, great seasoning on the steak, and good sized portions! The only reason for the 4 star rating vs a 5 star rating is because it is slightly expensive for what you are buying. Look in the window for the signage as there is not a sign up high to help locate it! I am adding onto my additional review because I returned here for a second time and had a burrito and it was excellent! Very good size, tasted great, and creatively done! I definitely suggest giving them your business!
I’ve been to No 1 Taco a few times and have always received excellent service and delicious food. The birria tacos and quesadillas are by far my favorite things on the menu. They’re incredibly flavorful and cheesy. My family loves the burritos and they’re always very impressed by the portion size. I highly recommend the salsas for a little extra kick!
