I got two tacos de carnitas and two de asada. Absolutely fantastic. Fresh tortillas and tons of flavor with some red salsa that actually has some kick. It’s been hard for me to find good Mexican food since I have spoiled taste buds from growing up in Southern California, but this place hits the spot. Highly recommend. Side note: the staff are also very friendly and that goes a long way.
The meat was cold and dry with little to no flavor.Coming to Virginia beach from San diego I know how mexican food should taste and what's real quality and what's not. Avoid this place at all costs. If you want something comparable to San diego mexican food go to la patrona or no1 burrito. They are both good.Stay away from this place and las Palmas andmi Casita and Plaza Azteca and Jose tequila and sol de Mexico. Those are all garbage quality.Haven't tried Jessie's tacos but hear they are decent but cannot speak for or against them. This is the realist review you'll find for mexican food here in Virginia beach. Glad there is two places to get decent mexican food here at least.
Up at 3:14am throwing up the food. I wasn’t really pleased with it at all nor was my family. The drinks were ok. The chicken fingers or tender’s or whatever it was supposed to be didn’t look like it. And was too over cooked which resulted in my kids not eating it.. the “salad” tasted very watery with sour cream and tomatoes added. Everybody’s food was just nasty. Ate a little to get our money’s worth since we drove across town just for it not to be good. Price’s don’t match the quality of food. Customer service was ok. The restaurant was completely empty and they had the lights off..Now I see why it was empty that was the que to run. Had diarrhea & vomiting will not be returning.
Chili rellenos we're too cheesy and had been frozen. Prices were above moderate for similar fare. Friendly service, but no alcohol
DON'T recommend. The food was okay, but it looks better than it tastes as the pictures portray. I do not recommend this place because they charged me 11.5% general taxes, when the state of Virginia only states 6%. So they did ripped me off on taxes.
Just having moved to holland road area this is the best Mexican around here ??? not greasy as other places and offer breakfast!! They are open early which is nice if you get up early and your lunch is 1030 am u can still get some tacos:)
Hidden Gem ? really good food. Probably one of the most authentic Mexican food in the area. Very fresh and great portions.
Excellent Authentic Mexican food that is handmade and Oh So Delicious!!! It just opened up not very long ago and is not well know yet. I've been there 4 times now within the last month and it has Never disappointed me yet! Best Chips and Salsa! They don't come with orders, but they were THE BEST I've eaten so far and I didn't get heartburn or anything like I usually do at other places. They were puffy, homemade, and So Delicious! Try their Tacos, and the Huaraches are huge and filling that I always have to take most of it home. This is the REAL DEAL having grown up in Southern California with a Mexican step-father! You must experience their homemade, handmade tortillas too! I'll be going once a week, MY DAUGHTER AND I ARE ADDICTED!Marie O.
The new location is complete garbage. The phone was turned off and I drove there in-person to order. I asked about the phone being off and the girl at the register picked it up and turned it on and then turned it off right in front of me. She literally showed me that she had it off and said- “I don’t know”. I then ordered in person and I waited over an hour for 8 tacos. With no one in the restaurant and no other to go orders I waited an hour for 8 tacos. After an hour of no food, I walked up and got my money back and got zero apology.
So far the best Mexican food I've had in virginia.
