Wife and I went there for lunch and will not go back. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my wife had the fish and chips. The chicken sandwich was the saltiest I have ever had and tough like leather. My wife's fish and chips breading was too thick and overcooked. If you order something with chips and think they are homemade think again as it is just a bag of chips. Better ways to waste money at the beach.
Everything was great start to finish. Calamari was spectacular with that aioli wow! The Murphy burger was awesome! My experience was great ! The staff was on point .

My friend and I had dinner. The Irish eggs rolls were tasty appetizer. The waitress was friendly and attentive. It’s was good time also they had live music. The waitress suggested the shepherds pie was a mazing!
We stopped by here for a couple of cold ones and a small plate on a Thursday afternoon. The place wasn't too busy but had plenty of patrons at the bar where we sat. We ordered a few Harp Lagers and Nachos platter with chicken. The Nacho plate was very good and filling. We ordered with sour cream and salsa but we didn't even need the salsa. We enjoyed our visit again this time. This place is in easy walking distance from HGI.
This place was amazing! Walking around looking for a place to eat and ran across it. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Food was excellent! Drinks were good. Got in and served fast on a Friday night when most places were busy and had waits. I will definitely eat there again.
My husband and I went for an early dinner. It was our last night in Virginia Beach. We wanted to make sure we came back to Murphy's because we would always come here with our boys when we visited Virginia Beach. Always a good meal, and where it was a long walk from our hotel, we could drive because they have parking. We enjoyed our Guinness of course. My husband wanted something with vegetables, so he got Bangers and Mash. Loved it. I enjoyed the Irish Reuben. It was open faced. I ate it with a fork and knife, but you could eat it like a pizza. Glad we came back again.
Great food at a good price. This was the hottest (temperature - wise) hot food I have ever had at a restaurant. The kitchen staff bring food out to the tables on warm plates as soon as it is ready with no waiting for the serve staff to do it. That's not to say the serve staff are not attentive. Our waitress Alison, pictured below, was exceptional.
One of the best places near Neptune's beach, very affordable, lively and fun time. If you love shrimp, you must try one pound shrimp with old bay spice and butter. Irish coffee is other best and many more.it is odd to say what I didn't like. One order of fries would be sufficient for 4 people.
We both ordered drinks. Mine was okay, but my husband’s beer wasn’t cold. The waitress didn’t come back to the room we were in until our food arrived so he salvaged his beer with some of my ice. I had the so-called “award winning” she-crab soup. It was lukewarm, thick like a dip, and lacked flavor. The chicken wings were mediocre. Atmosphere was sports bar with at least a half dozen TVs, some playing sports, and the one by our table playing reruns of Law and Order. Loud Irish music blared from the speaker nearby. Service was sub-par.
