Their food gave me food poisoning & the banana pudding was like egg yolk & very sweet! My mother chicken liver had a funny taste & also our food had no seasoning at all. -1/10 I don’t recommend.

Baked chicken tender and delicious! Macaroni and cheese really tasty! I've tried the corn bread and that was some of the best! Great to pick up, and have a home cooked meal!!

This place use to be so good , but me and my son went last week for some wings for myself and a kids meal hamburger for him & yuck the hamburger they gave my son taste STRAIGHT like charcoal .?the price has went up but now the quality. My chicken wings taste like they was fried and old grease . On top of that the cashier tried to charge me about 4-5 dollars on two cups of faucet water ? I requested for a call back that I never received. I kept the food for about 4 days and wanted to wait until I got a call back from a manager for a refund or remake . Not recommended

Good food although the portion size isn't big. The food is served in a three compartment to go container so the main item is the big section and the two sides go in the smaller sections. The lemonade is self serve and was very good as well.

I went to this restaurant yesterday to get a Fried Fish dinner with cabbage and potato salad as my sides. The potato was warm(who eats warm potato salad) the skin was still on the potato’s??and they were too firm. The cabbage had no seasoning. It taste like it was just cooked in water…smh. Needless to say my experience with this soul food restaurant wasn’t good!!!

While my food was ok, there needs to be some improvement.1. The atmosphere of the place is depressing. No music, everyone sitting around looking sad or mad. No conversations, nothing! Again, there was a depressing atmosphere.2. The food was not hot(temperature wise)enough.3. The meatloaf should be offered plain or with gravy or with ketchup. Some people do not want their meatloaf swimming in gravy. They want the flavors in the meatloaf to be the star of the dish. The ladies out front were great and doing the best that they could under the circumstances. We know like everywhere else they are understaffed, but the quality of the experience should not suffer.

The place was busy and u know it takes a while for them to cook tye food, however my boyfriend food was cold and my sides were Luke warm, the red velvet Cake was dry and the banana pudding looked like someone had thrown the vanilla wafers on one side. It was a let down since I have been there on many occasions and never had such horrible food. In regards to the food being gone we wait like so long for the food he didn't even want to send it back.

Cashier was very pleasant, but save your money and time the gizzards was salty and hard, the collar greens was undercooked the mac and cheese was horrible and you get small portions for a high price even the kid didn’t eat his kids meal there this will be my last time going there they will not get another dime from me. Go to Island Hut for some banging Caribbean Soul Food you will not be disappointed and by the way push that cart back to food lion it is not yours

Expectations were not met. I have been looking for a Soul Food restaurant and this isn't it. The food didn't have any flavor and the potato salads presentation made me lose my appetite. I don't mind the cost of anything if the food is good.My thoughts are this is Soul Food for people who don't know what Soul Food taste like.

My first lunch time experience here (11:45 am):Small, yet quaint dining room, complete with white tablecloths, wall-mounted flat screen t.v. playing Paramount streaming service. I was the only one waiting to order (3 people sitting and waiting for their carryout orders). The Cashier was pleasant, professional, and polite (I complimented her because she was a refreshing change). I ordered fried whiting, collard greens, mac & cheese)..my collard greens were over-cooked and flavorless, mac & cheese was decent, but the Showstopper was "Fried Whiting". My 2 fillets were slightly crispy, well-seasoned, very succulent. My next visit might be the same protein, but different sides. FYI: They will be closed both Thurs & Fri. Also, they charge a fee if you pay with plastic; charged $1.16 on a $31.00 bill...Not too bad.
