Great aesthetic and good food. We all know that what makes ramen great is the soup base. And they definitely got that right here. Not too light and not overpowering. I got the spicy miso ramen and it was great. I will say that the bamboo shoots were somewhat sweet, which is not what I was expecting. But that didn't take away from the flavor from the soup.
Definitely come here for the ramen. The ramen is the best in town! They even expanded and added a boba tea shop attached to it. There are moderate amount of seating probably not enough during peak hours. They get packed!It gives the "hole in the wall" vibes inside but you know those are the best places. The staff are so quick and friendly. Whoever selected the music playlist is awesome. I am bias because it was a lot of millennial songs from early 2000s.I got the seafood ramen and it was just really good. I also got some appetizers I forgot to photograph them because I was starving but all the food we ordered was on point. Definitely recommend this local ramen spot!
OMG! I have to say, I been to Tokyo, Sasebo, Osaka, Nagasaki and this is the closest food I found to original Japanese food in USA. Unfortunately, I don't live in Virginia, but in Michigan. Wish Michigan had this restaurant! Need to open one up north, it would be a huge hit.For three people it was about $60, Everything was made fresh! Had soft drinks and we even got doggy bags. Portions are excellent!Definitely will go back couple times before I have to head back North.BUT...will be back every year just to come eat! Oh yeah and to visit family member stationed in Norfolk :) LOL. See what good Food does? LOLA must eat! Amazing!
Yummy Noodles and Soup! My partner ordered the Fried Chicken Ramen and I got the Spicy Miso Ramen. We ended up switching since mine was a bit too spicy for me. The portion size was huge and we had to bring the rest home. We also tried the Kimchi Fries as an app. It was so delicious. I recommend the bubble tea as well! Great for date night. ? The vibe felt like I was not in Virginia Beach.
What a fun and authentic restaurant! Staff was friendly and attentive and the ramen was on point! Flavors were great and food was very authentic! A must try to Ramen lovers or those who love Japanese cuisine. Boba was also delicious and a great price compared to other Boba places.
My son and I had ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and it was really good. I asked for the spice level 3 and it was HOT which was what I was looking for. My husband ordered the Kappa Nara House Ramen and my daughter ordered the Tonkostu Ramen - they enjoyed it as well. We ordered the kimchi fries and we were not thrilled about it and I’m not going to knock my review over this dish.Additionally, the service was amazing. We did have to wait and they acknowledge and apologize for the wait.Also, really neat to have the bubble tea shop next door.
Kappo Nara Ramen. Phenomenal. Offering a variety of Japanese ramen, and a multitude of beverages. The ramen I ordered was exceptional. Additionally, the service is what stood out the most. Our server was polite and well mannered. The environment was clean and respectable. Overall, had a great experience.
Very good. Tried the spicy meso ramen. Very good. Also tried just regular ramen with a boiled egg and chashu pork. Yum yum! Also enjoy a strawberry green tea with tapioca pearls. Delicious.They have different seasonings you can add to the ramen: hot oil, fresh and granulated garlic, an Asian spice mix, salt, pepper and soy sauce.
So disappointed. I've dined at this restaurant for years, so tonight on my way home from work, I thought I'd order from one of my favorite restaurants. But when I got home, this was the portion they gave me for my appetizer! The only reason the rating isn't lower is is because they're always wonderful when I dine in, but goodness, don't order takeaway if you actually want a filling meal apparently.
This place is the absolute best ramen spot I’ve been to!! Honestly, possibly the BEST restaurant! From the amazing food, the attentive service, beautiful ambiance & chill music, it is definitely THEE place to be!! I don’t even have the words for it, honestly just come on down & let your taste buds give the review!!I love KAPPO NARA RAMEN!!!??
