We saw this from the boardwalk and were in the mood for Mexican. It was a bit breezy so we sat inside on the higher level so we could see the ocean. I enjoyed the Modelo Negra. We loved the guacamole, but the chips were so-so. My husband got the chicken burrito and I got the Baja fish Tacos. Both were good and filling.
the fact that for all their cocktails they use agave nectar instead of triple sec is reason enough to applaud and give them five stars... while other bars only have triple sec to sweeten their cocktails... and some offer skinny ones (use agave nectar and club soda)... this place just went full healthier option... so kudos... they are really big on tequila stuff so please check them out... oh btw... one of the servers was already clocked out but seeing that nobody have yet to approach us to get our orders she just handed us a couple of menus and told us somebody would be with us shortly... thank you for your kindness...
The food was top notch. Our server stole $20 cash from us. We paid $80 cash, but the server said we only paid $60… but in checking our wallet, we are down a full $100. I’m not saying don’t go, but just pay the 3% credit card fee to avoid getting taken for a ride. Amazing tacos though!
Okay, so let's just say.. Go on ahead and treat yourself to a nice outdoor meal accompanied by an orange crush. The food was fresh and scrumptious, the chips and dip.. mmmm... from start to finish in a busy environment the courtesy and attentiveness was excellent. Smiles all the way around. Our orders were made exactly as we ordered and we didn't break the bank. Can't wait to return!
OMG, The best place to go. Their rockfish platter was amazing, my wife loved the plantains. Neither of us has eaten one before and she not only tried it, but loved it. Their homemade salsa is outstanding, they also have a homemade queso that is out of this world. Our waitress Jamie, was absolutely on point with her recommendations. Their burrito was extraordinary in the most truest sense of the word. Homemade chips have a seasoning on them that just pops. Not spicy, just good. Excellent job Jamie, with a server like you, we will be coming back again.
The service was great. Food was great. Atmosphere was perfect! Fun people. Right on the boardwalk overlooking the beach and ocean. Two adults and two kids all enjoyed their meal. Decent prices.
We were looking for some good Margaritas at a dog-friendly beach bar. We found great margaritas, awesome queso, and the best shrimp tacos we’ve ever had. And they loved our dog. If you visit Virginia Beach, you gotta try this place!
All around great place great food, great atmosphere, it was my first time there, but felt like I was at home, I felt welcomed. Come here, don’t even think about it, just come here. Johnny, A1 guy, great guy, great bar tender. Definitely come in get a drink get some food and get yourself a great time, trust me you won’t be disappointed.
1 star because the food was edible. Real poor service though. Just got a $320 bill for 4 meals, and a few drinks and got a “welcome to the boardwalk” from the server when asked to break down the overpriced bill. Very sarcastic and rude about everything but I think the gnats flying around my food the whole time was what did it for me. 1/10.
