This is my go to spot for Caribbean and West African food. I came specifically because they had Cassava leaf on their menu. This is a rare find in this area. I usually have to go to DC or New York. I first tried the dish while living in Guinea, West Africa. It's also common in Senegal, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. It's made from Cassava leaves and contains meat and fish. It's eaten over rice....absolutely delicious. I've had it twice here and both times it was just as I remembered. I believe I was told the cook/owner is from Liberia. But the cassava leaf is not always available, I think it's made mostly on weekends...call ahead to be sure.. My other favorite is the jerk chicken rasta pasta...yummy. If you want to try something new, go with the Cassava leaf, might be your new favorite dish.

Trash!!! I ordered first time bout a yr ago and it was what I thought the best but as of recently it’s changed. Maybe cuz they are getting more business they have to stretch i. The plantain was right this last time but the Rasta pasta and jerk chicken dinner was dry. The Mac n cheese was watery. Last few visits have been like this not just one and we order the same things. Not giving another Chance

Honestly the worst when it comes to ordering food in person or for delivery: they cancel the orders or they just take for ever and ever and then they cancel it for absolutely no reason or when you get your food it’s cold or if you go in person there’s an attitude and terrible customer service that comes free with every meal. Literally wanted to find a spot close to home in this town and they are so rude about it plus you can never ever get anyone to answer the phone. Review rant over wow

Wed nights with dj Rex great atmosphere & great music .

Jamaican and African cuisine. My girlfriend from Trinidad recommended it highly during the snow storm in the last week of January 2022 and she was 100 correct! The cashier has a pretty name that I don’t want to spell incorrectly…but I asked and she said to call her Kee. She was very nice. The stewed chicken was delicious! I started to try the chicken sampler with Jerk, curry and stewed chicken. I expected brown stew chicken but this was better, even stumbled on to a slice of potato in the gravy. Extremely well seasoned. I recommend this place highly and plan to return very soon and often. It’s located across the street from Kempsriver shopping Center. The oxtails and curry goat are pretty expensive. The collard greens are not good however, the cabbage and carrots were cooked perfectly.

I was so excited to find a place locally that served cassava leave sauce. I lived in Guinea West Africa and this was my favorite dish. I was not disappointed, the sauce was just like I remembered, flavorful and delicious. This is the real thing. I can't wait to come back for more and to try some of the other dishes.

The food is good, but there was a strand of hair in my food & we called and and told them what I found it was just awkward silence and then the lady said it’s nothing they could do because I already picked up my to-go order and left.
