My fiancee and I dined here for the first time at the end of June. It was terrific! It was intimidating at first, I had to ask if we were under dressed. I was assured we were not. The atmosphere is amazing. I ordered one of the specials, flounder and linguine in a lemon sauce while my fiancee ordered a steak and Italian potatoes. The flounder was decadent; flaky and not dry. The steak was cooked just as she ordered. All was so delicious! The staff were very attentive to our needs. We will definitely be going back.

This was a great food experience. I ate at the bar and the bartenders were attentive and answered questions. The Mozzarella Caprese was very nice. The tomatoes were fresh and the oil and balsamic vinegar were added after delivery. I choose the marinara over a gluten free pasta and it was splendid. The sauce was out of this world. I could eat it daily. The crème brûlée for desert was fine, but I have high standards for this desert. All in all it was a very enjoyable dining experience. Oh.. and the live music selections were interesting. We went down with the ship with the Titanic theme song and then followed that up with the Charlie Brown theme song….definitely entertaining

My daughter and I were on vacation and I googled best Italian restaurants near our hotel and this place came up. YEEEEES!!! I've been in Food and Beverage for a very long time. I am a Culinary Supervisor at a Casino and I've had my fair share of Italian cuisine. This place without a doubt is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. Our server Steve or Steven (sorry) was funny and attentive. The ambience was perfect! The gentlemen playing the piano was fantastic! I had veal piccata and my daughter had fried mozzarella and clams with linguine. My veal was cooked perfectly and the sauce aaaahhh! LOL! My only tip is to make a reservation so you and your guest can be accommodated in a timely fashion. I went on a Wednesday night. I can only imagine a Friday or Saturday night! I plan to visit this place whenever I come to Virginia Beach!!! Oh, the video I couldn't help it. My daughter was like Mom no. Haha!

Saturday evening, party of one. Was told an hour wait. Ok, understandable. They took my name and phone number to contact me when ready. I went inside at the 45 minute mark to touch base. They then told me, without calling me, that I have another hour and a half wait. No explanation given. I can only assume because I was a party of one and no money to be made on a tied-up table. The ambiance looked romantic, the vibe really cool. But honesty? Integrity? Not even on the scale. Would never return because of that. Even if that wasn't the reason, the optics were bad. So I went back to Roma Pizza, where they remembered me from earlier in the day. THAT is the Hallmark of a great place.

The food was horrible. The chicken parmigiana and it taste worst than Dog food. The server laughed every time he brought out food. I wouldn’t serve this food to an animal. I visited there this past week, 04/14. I will never go back. An Italian restaurant can’t cook noodles. The lemonade taste like rocket fuel. The best part of the meal was when we left.

Too bad Trip Advisor limits a rating to 5-stars. We recently celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with guests at Il Giardino. What an experience. The restaurant staff were so attentive but not intrusive, accommodating our unique reauirements to scheduling the Officiant, to the restaurant's providing a violin tribute, etc - and especially the cuisine. However, we weren't surprised - a couple years earlier we had the same experience celebrating my wife's 70th birthday. Great experiences that we will remember.

A friend and I decided to give this place a try. We were looking for a good pasta meal. This place didn't disappoint. Our server was great. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials. I got the rigatoni and sausage, and my buddy got the seafood pasta. We each loved what we got. If you are looking for a top-notch Italian dinner while in Virginia Beach, this is the place.

Awesome experience! The staff was amazing and the food was even better. The zucchini fritte was some of the best we’ve had. The tortellini della nonna was phenomenal ? and the pizza with their homemade crust was delish. Our waiter, Steven, was top notch!! We will definitely be back on our next trip to VB

Il G is an icon at the Beach. Deservedly so. I'm not a food guru, eating to live far more than living to eat, so I'm sure there's much to be said that I just don't have the culinary chops to say.Far more important to me is the service and the consistency of the experience. These folks have been at it for a very long time and it's as good a night out now as it's ever been.Valet parking rids you of the drag of finding a close place to put your car and has you about 40' from the door when you hand over your keys.If you haven't yet, try it.

Il Giardino was amazing start to finish. Every dish was excellent! I tried the Calamari, Mussels with Jalapeno, Oysters, and Shrimp and Scallops in Cognac Cream Sauce.
