Why the (one) 1 star? I understand many restaurants struggle to keep cliente to be fluid. But when customer service is at poorest including management, makes you question the moral of the establishment. A week ago came with my wife after a doctors appointment and had a tremendous server name “Brian” who actually Interacted with his customer. Made us feel welcomed. Today, we had Jody. No interaction what’s so ever. Again it’s ok, not everyone is the same! This is not the reason as to why I gave the one star. Today we were sat near the entrance. The smell of cleaning supply, over bearing the enjoyment of our food. My wife ordered the spinach and mushroom omelette and the tomatoes tasted sour. My country fried steak was a bit on lavender color, letting me know it’s been frozen reheated then fried. For this I gave it a one star! Not taking another chance at this location and hope IHOP gets it right. At the end, we couldn’t finish our meal. As we were in the process to leave, one of the managers didn’t even allow my wife to completely get out booth and continued walking. This says a lot about the moral of the establishment!
Took my daughter here between appointments this morning. Walked in and a strong odor immediately greeted us - a mixture of bleach and mildew. It was not busy so we were seated right away. To say the floors were dirty is an understatement and I had to wipe off my own seat. The ladies room was no better with the first stall door broken and an empty paper towel dispenser. Meanwhile there were plenty of staff that were not doing much of anything. It all turned my stomach so much that all I ordered was coffee and toast. Disappointing.
I understand places are short staffed. But we were standing there waiting for over 5 minutes. Then whenever a waiter came out he looked at us real quick and said oh my god while bringing food to another table. If people can't handle the rush you probably need new staff. We ended up walking out . This is the only one I usually go to. But, probably not to this location any time soon.
Realize my experience likely isn't the norm.. but I found a long hair in my omelette. Would have accepted a replacement, but this was after I waited almost 20 minutes after being seated for someone to come take my order. Once the order was placed, the food came quickly.. but again, someone's 7+ inch hair was cooked into the food.Won't be coming here again.
I was in a hurry when I stopped by this location. Upon entering, I realized it was packed. I thought about leaving. I told my waitress, Mrs. Karrington I was in a hurry due to an appointment. She relayed the message to her manager and cooks in the Kitchen. After ordering, my waiter came back to check on us and to make sure we knew that she relayed the message to the manager. Before I knew it my food was out. This was the BEST IHOP experience ever. Excellent Customer Service. I will be back!!!!
Our waitress was awesome and the food was great. They were a little on the busy side but we still got our food in a reasonable amount of time.
The best things about it today was the customer service: the host and Brian, the server. But the hot tea was lukewarm as were the hashed browns. The main course, my favorite spinach/mushroom omelet was not good. Dry, too thick, too large - looked more like a burrito than an omelette - and too much cheese, mushrooms scanty and spinach half cooked or raw! I picked through it, ate about half. Starving. The orange juice was good tho, tasted fresh squeezed. Not a good start for Chef or me.
We come every single Sunday, today we had Brian (I think he is a manager) as our server. He is literally the best! He had us laughing and was on it! Thank you!
the location at landstown commons is a hot mess. I get the place is popular but trashy floors and slow waitresses are unnecessary. we have been here handfuls of times and it's been relatively good. lately however, it's gotten ridiculous . I think we will seek out a different place to go from here on out.
Wonderful service, especially with the short staff that day. Great food, but the eggs weren't quite over medium. Over all, yummy, good experience.
