Enjoy the ambiance of this modern updated IHOP which is conveniently located on General Booth Boulevard not far from the main gate to NAS Oceana's Dam Neck Annex. When Joseph, picture below, sensed I wasn't happy sitting away from the windows, he immediately reseated us in a booth by a window. Also, serving as our waiter, Joseph, sensing my husband having some difficulty selecting from his menu, came over to assist. The coffee there was surprisingly delicious, but then Joseph had prepared a fresh pot for us. I was delighted when Joseph brought a bottle of hot pepper sauce without my having to ask. If you haven't been to an IHOP in while - in my husband's case it was over five years, then I highly recommend you give them another try.
Second Review:Visited here again because the wife wanted to. I can tell you it will be my last. Almost every table around me dirty, yet no customers are here. I hope my camera's photo quality comes through.First review:IHOP normally has great service along with the food. The wife and I went there to eat after work. The place was empty and the service was really subpar. After ordering our food and receiving it, I did not see the serverbagain until we were ready to go. I normally get 2 or 3 refills of my drink, I am a drinker. But the server just never bothered to stop by for refills and was busy in the kitchen having fun chatting with the chef it sounded like.Food was good, service not so much.
I feel mixed leaving this review, but I feel like I have a duty to tell it how it is. Please keep in mind that I understand the staffing shortages going on everywhere. Some places are handling it better than others.Food wise, my plate was the one that took the hit. I ordered the chicken fajita omelette, and most of the chicken was very fatty. Normally, I would just overlook it, but the experience was just poor.Our food came out very erratically, and by that I mean literally one plate for one person as the kitchen desperately tried to keep up. I was told the chef was basically still training and by herself. I get it. It happens, but it made for a very awkward situation when I only saw 3 other tables seated in the whole restaurant and nothing come out of the kitchen at all. When we got our food, it wasn't even piping hot as you'd expect in this scenario.Our server did a decent job. She was quick and polite, but was a little inattentive with how empty the restaurant was. My drank sat empty more than anything, which is problematic when I'm A) waiting longer than usual for food and B) eating a dish with a level of spice to it.Not bad people, would probably give them another chance at a later date if we were from the area. Just feel like this visit missed the mark.
Amazing food amazing service.. we decided to go here for breakfast while on vacation our server was Melinda she sat us and served us was amazing had great people skills.. made my day when she brought me and my bf a to go cup of coffee.. will go back if we have enough time
We decided to try ihop on a whim and luckily found the best service I have ever had. The waitresses name was Melinda and she was very friendly and upbeat. There was not one thing she forgot or we had to ask for that she didn’t already have taken care of. The best part was she got everyone a Togo drink and put the leftovers in our container for us. THE WAITRESS STOLE MY MONEY!!! I was on a date for my birthday on November 21 2021 and the bill was like $32. We gave her $35 and she never gave us our change back. She lost herself a $10 tip for stealing.Then we went there on Christmas 2021 and waited over an hour for food. It and it only a philly cheese steak & fries. And my boyfriend asked when will i be getting my food and she was like “soon, sorry we’re closed” but that was a lie because they closed @3 and it was 2:20. I didn’t get my food until 2:40 and i was there wayyyy over an hour. The waitress was very rude. And it’s the same one who stole my money last time, the one with the cockeyed eye, and is NEVER wearing her mask correctly.
Amazing! So friendly! Cheryl or waitress did a fantastic job along with the hostess and Manager sorry I don’t have their names. The food was great.
I came in and ordered Harvest nut and grain pancakes to go. The greeting was very warm. The host was very attentive. While I was waiting he even offered me a glass of water. The reason I did not give a 5 star rating was I was shocked at the price for 4 HNG pancakes over $$10.00.
Our server was great. He was very friendly and attentive. The food was okay. My turkey bacon and egg whites were gross.
If you can manage not to stare at the mold coming out of the vents... it's actually pretty decent. Food was good.
