9th June 2022 we’re from Las Vegas and was only in VIRGINIA beach visiting my husband’s family here. Went to dine in and order Lumpiang Shanghai .45 c each and was asked if I want it frozen or cooked, I said 30 pcs cooked ( fried). The liempo and dinuguan rice combo I ordered is ok, it’s good - it comes with free Sinigang soup. Ordered 2 tuyo fish for .50 cents each and it ‘s fine as well. What I dislike is the tofu i ordered for $2.99 - it was diced (cut way too small for tofu in my opinion before frying) fully Overcooked ( toasted) and went totally “dry” and bland to my taste. Maybe it was a day old and refried or my guess is that they cooked it from “frozen” and it was served in a styrofoam and when i opened it, there was nothing but tofu, i thought it comes with sili pansigang and onions and with the special toyo sauce, so I asked for toyo coz it might have been just forgotten but none when I asked. One glance and i know that it’s not at all appealing to me and when I tasted a bit of the tofu , it just confirmed what I honestly first thought about it. I did this review so they could improve their services and so people would be getting their money’s worth. God bless kabayan! ??♥️

I tried this place since all the other Filipino restaurants were closed due to snow. DO NOT BUY FISH! I got 3 orders and their fish is old (maybe cooked from day before), dry and not edible. Aside from being pricey, they should not sell OLD fish. Never coming back.

If only I could give them a zero, I would. DON’T COME HERE 30 minutes before they close because they don’t let you dine in. It was only 7:28 pm and the lady with glasses taking order at the counter telling the people to leave before 8pm (closing time) and as soon as I grabbed the tray she told me only take outs. She let the people ahead of us to sit down but not us. We wanted to dine in before we hit the road, we have to drive back home 4 hrs. And she was also telling this couple to just reheat the food at home. She would not reheat it for them. She’s rude, rushing people, especially those who are dining in to leave. She has bad customer service. I never been to a restaurant who rush their people to eat so they could leave before closing time, only to this restaurant. I would definitely not coming back here.

I absolutely loved Ihaw Ihaw! I’ve been going to this place since it first opened to get a taste of the Filipino culture. However, when I went yesterday it was the absolute worst. Staff was very polite, as always, but as I was checking out I didn’t see not 1 roach but 2 roaches. One on the counter and the other crawling up the drink cooler. The worker caught it and killed the one on the counter. Then as I sat down to check my food to make sure I had the right one, there was hair in the bbq chicken. Gave it to the guy and he kindly replaced my meal, so I headed back to the booth. A few minutes pass by and I saw something crawling next to me… it was another roach! Worst experience ever and I will not be returning back. I don’t do roaches at all, neither do I do hair in my food.

Friendly staff and good food that at first glance did not look that good. It’s a cafeteria-style place and could use some redecorating but overall was nice and clean (at least in the seating area, who knows how clean it is in the back).

When we don't feel like cooking. This place doesn't disappoint! Great food and people. Feels like home

RIDICULOUSLY slow.. even if you’re the only customer. It’s unbelievable how slow they are.. every time.. when you come here, prepare to be late to wherever you gotta go after

The people are nice but most of the food contains dead animals.

We used to be daily customers to this establishment, but today not only did we find straight black hair in the sinigang, but we also found a roach in the porksteak. The fact that it is also a roach nymph (baby roach) at that, means that they must have more roaches in there. We are never eating there again, and I warn others not to either.

First time visit. Very friendly. Owner took the time to explain each entree / side dish. Disappointed that they ran out of sisig. Asked if they will be making more and I would come back later to buy some. Owner made some while we ate. Took it home for midnight snack.
