Spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. Very Comfortable beds. Hotel is in the process of doing some renovations which has decreased the parking area...which caused a lot of headache. However, the property did provide valet parking ( a tip is requested).Restaurant and bar is on the premises, but my party and I didn't utilize either.Pool area is clean and seemingly well maintained.Staff is very friendly, helpful and exemplified superb customer service.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant servers and housekeepers were so friendly and accommodating. Nice and clean hotel with amazing views. The free breakfast buffet was delicious. Would definitely come back to stay here.
The room was very clean and beautiful but the service quite frankly sucked. We stayed 4 days and after they made a point to give us a paper that they were cleaning rooms every day now nobody cleaned our room the whole time we were there. We had to go 3 times to get towels and wash cloths because nobody brought any even when we left our basket or as told. Then they were out of wash cloths, which happens, but the next day we still didn't get any! After all the money we spent to stay here at least they could have cleaned the room once even!
Friendly staff and clean hotel. Super super busy tho. You are right in the heart of Virginia beach tho, so its to be expected that this place would be so popular. Was impressed with the overall experience. Loved our view of the sunrise too.
James and Paris up in the front desk were the two most nicest and accommodating people I have met in my entire life. I would recommend this location 100%% without a doubt. Cleaning staff on the 10th floor were super nice and very friendly. Thank you so much again James and Paris for making my stay that much better I will definitely be coming back in 2 months.
Rooms are always so clean!!! Staff is absolutely amazing, and so nice! And food is great as well! Also a bigThank you to (I think the name is correct) James . we left and my daughter accidentally left her cheer ring in our room. He acted quickly when I called and had someone go check and he kept it at the desk for us to get back.
The Manager Shonne is awful, rude, and unprofessional . When I arrived at the hotel I walked into the lobby and his response to me was YES, in a very nasty and irritated tone. Throughout our interaction he continued to talk at me in a very disrespectful manner. After the horrible encounter with him. We get to the room and there is blood on the comforter… after I made them aware that there was blood they brought me another blanket and it was even worse. I finally contacted a manager and they provide a new one out of the package. Additionally the rented out the hallway in front of our room for a conference. Every morning around 6 am we were woken up by the attendees talking, tables and chairs banging. I can’t understand why someone would have an event outside a hotel guest room. People typically rent banquets rooms for those type of gatherings.I left a review about my experience. After the review the same front office manager who was extremely rude to begin with sends me an email, that again has the same rude defensive tone in it.This is the email that he sent me…Dear Bobbie Motley,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay with us. I would like to personally point out that you were in fact greeted in a pleasant demeanor however you arrived at 3:00Am expecting to check in for a reservation that was technically set to arrive for the next business day, as explained when you came to the desk if you wanted to check in you would have needed to pay for the prior night. I have read you review and let me say how sorry we are that we did not live up to your expectations. We try to make every guest experience unique and enjoyable. We do appreciate the review as it helps us to provide a better guest experience going forward. Once again please accept our apologies.
We checked in late while on a long road trip. The front desk attendant was very attentive and helpful. They got us checked in quickly. The beds were comfortable (although small and the room qas pristine. Fun finishes and colors as well!
Maybe give them a try after the renovation? Each night I came back to the hotel after midnight. There's a card reader that is supposed to open the front doors after hours, but it was broken. The light would turn green and it would click, but the door remained closed. I tried calling the hotel repeatedly but nobody picked up. Finally, after 15+ minutes each night, the clerk returned and let me in. Stated that security is supposed to alert them if someone is outside, but their radios aren't working consistently.The result? I and other guests stood outside the main entrance (the only one open during construction) for 15+ minutes in below freezing temperatures.The water took 15-20 minutes to get hot but they also didn't tell me that when I checked in, so let's hear it for cold showers!Breakfast was okay; not worth $16 but the food was decent. Somehow the coffee was less than warm, even coming out of a sealed carafe.Just the worst Holiday Inn experience in my 49 years. Was really hoping for a nice stay in VA Beach. I usually love IHG hotels.
Booked a month in advance for a late October Saturday night using IHG points (about $195 in value) for a king bed. First of all, the location is PERFECT. Right on the ocean/ boardwalk in a great part of town, and arriving via 21st street you just keep driving right into the parking lot (which is right beside the entrance). They had some fun Halloween decorations and free trick or treat candy, as well as some flavored water for free with cups. I think probably all the rooms have ocean views, and ours was spectacular - nice large balcony with views for miles in every direction. The beaches are large and nice and sandy, and plenty of eating/ drinking options nearby. The room is old and showing signs of wear, but they are remodeling and who spends time in their room at the beach anyhow? It was disappointing they aren't even bothering to put nice linens in the room as our comforter cover was stretched and threadbare and really has nothing to do with a remodel. Shower was nice and hot. Overall we were happy and would stay here again.
