We ordered 3 dishes and they were all delicious. Just took sometime to get our food but it was worth the wait.
Their seafood pancake was really well cooked with crispy outside. I was surprised by a good Korean restaurant in the area
This restaurant is God sent, if you're craving for Korean food this is THE place! The portions of the food are big, the taste? Soooo good! I think I've been here for 5x already. And I'm gonna go back again and again. People here are so nice, server and owner.
I ordered takeout here and got the beef bulgogi lunch. My order was ready when I arrived. The lunch meal came with 2 small sides; broccoli and cucumber kimchi and rice. The meal was filling and the bulgogi had a sweet taste to it.
I stopped in at 6:30 and was told there were no tables. I said I could wait as long as it takes. The hostess said I couldn’t eat there all night. I asked if I could get carry out. She said that the chef said no. I could understand if it were close to closing time, but at 6:30…really?
Wow...its been a long time since I've had a good yukgaejang and this is probably one the tastiest I've had...in the top 5 for me.Yukgaejang is a spicy beef soup. But don't let "spicy" fool you. Unless you find the mild version of Texas Pete spicy, you'll be fine eating this. Its so good! Served in a stone pot, this beauty comes out piping out amd continues to stay hot, so mind your lips. Its served with a bowl of rice and some panchan. They don't skimp here with their panchan. I actually feel kinda bad because I left without eating all mine. The yukgaejang is very filling! Did I mention that Hansang's is delicious?Sidenote: service is great and quick; the place is clean and bright so you can actually see the beauty of plates passing you by; parking lot is a bit small; they give you a little yogurt drink (like Yakult) with your bill.Glad I found you, Hansang! I'll be back!
I love their Spicy Pork Bulgogi! The radish kimchi and potatoes were also really good. I would have preferred that the bean sprouts had the kimchi seasoning as well, but that is just me...I love spice. They also give you a small probiotic beverage after your meal that tastes delicious! I need to find out where I can purchase them. I really need to try other items but Pork Bulgogi is my favorite Korean dish. The service was great as always.
We moved to Virginia Beach - been looking for Korean food....were so happy we discovered HanWoo the real mccoy best Korean food in town. We can compare the authentic korean dishes, galbi, bibimbap with the best in NJ. Our first time, all our questions were answered respectfully by Dolores - went to celebrate our sons birthday and Dolores was there to greet us and patiently took our orders. Inspite of limited server, the food was efficiently served fast. The place was packed for Thursday dinner which is an excellent indication the food is great!!! We will definitely go back...highly recommends Han Woo!!!
The food was soooo amazing! My daughter requested Korean for her birthday dinner and being new to the area I did some research and this place was highly recommended. It DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! So good!
Tucked away in the corner bypass between VA Beach + Norfolk thoroughfare lies Hansang situated by a business strip of small businesses. This restaurant is a small but mighty choice for Korean style food. This was my second try at trying this restaurant. The first being a random night but the shortstaffed, long 1.5 wait for dinner was not an option so I opted to return later. This evening the check in and seating process was swift. The menu was easy to follow with great descriptions underneath each menu item so you're not left guessing what is on each plate. I ordered a hot tea, but know it'll simply by a hot mug with a tea bag so no frills of a hot pot.I ordered mandu fried but got steamed and besides that it was really good and plated nicely. I ordered the mandu ramyun and should have stuck with this dish itself. The ramyun came in a large metal bowl. It was filled nearly to the top and smelled great! The broth was delicious and flavorful with just the right amount of spice that wasn't overbearing. The rich had a boiled egg, thinly slice carrots, and a little green onion. It would be nice if they had mushrooms or broccoli added to the dish. The service was attentive and the waitress answered questions about the dishes with ease. I enjoyed watching music videos while I ate. When you're done they bring out a platter with mini prebiotic milkshots, they're individually sealed. Also, you'll get a tray that has kimchi, broccoli, and fish cakes. I would've loved if they had it where you could customize the options in the tray because I'm not a fan of the cakes. In the end, this was a good time and the food made up more than enough for the delay last time. Check this place out for their ramyun and japchae. Make sure to cine a bit earlier on for dinner and your plate will thank you!
