We came for the happy hour, and it was definitely worth it! Caroline our waitress was helpful, friendly, and efficient! Great service! Excellent food choices! I recommend visiting here, if you're looking for good food and choices! The chips and Cheddar sauce was excellent, and we also enjoyed the steamed shrimp, She Crab soup, and the drink specials! Will definitely be back!

Locale:Situated conveniently at 24 1/2 Street and Pacific Avenue, CP Shuckers does what many Virginia Beach Oceanfront restaurants do best - and that is to find new ways to disappoint!Menu Stuff:Let's begin with the Little Neck Clams. They rock in at the size of a nickel and run about $1.33 apiece. More sand than I could possibly describe. Dear God.The cocktail shrimp appetizer will run you more than the clams. The presentation is on point, but let's be honest that these are average cocktail shrimps balanced on the edge of a very small glass filled with cocktail sauce (which the sauce was definitely on point thanks to Bookbinders). You can get 5x the same shrimp quantity at Harris Teeter just a few blocks up north. Seriously, just go grab the crowd-pleaser at the grocery store and chill at your hotel. It's air-conditioned and probably has something fun on Hulu, and not random sports feeds.Blackened Chicken. This was kind of alright if salt, pepper, dryness and tears were the only ingredients on the planet. I really wanted to like this, but it was so...very... nothing.Condiments:CP Shuckers has a special mayonnaise that can be left out in perpetuity - it actually says so on the label, but It does not taste like mayonnaise. Some tables had malt vinegar, and I wondered why they all did not. I mean, I didn't want malt vinegar per se - but maybe it would have given me something to drink when the waitperson just... forgot... about us.Manners:When I'm dining, I don't know about you, but it rubs me the wrong way when one of the managerial staff sidles up and makes an inappropriate comment about who my teen kids should be observing - that is, scantily clad and awkward girls nearby. High score in the Discomfort category here, y'all.Bottom Line:Avoid. You deserve better, and on so many levels!

This place is a little diamond in the rough. Super great staff, drinks, food, and atmosphere. It is a must to visit here several times during your vacation in VB. Prices are reasonable and huge portions. Not a long wait for food. She crab soup is top notch. Gyros are fantastic as well as the prime rib sandwich, crab legs, crab dip, and pub chips. The Greek salad with blackened tuna steak is one of my favorites! I could eat here once a day while on vacation and never tire of trying new foods with my beer! Free valet parking if you are too far to walk. Outdoor dining is great as well when the weather is nice. If you haven't tried this place before then you are missing out for sure!

I’m not a seafood person so I was hesitant to visit but my family likes it so we went. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of food offered. Better yet, this has been the best food I’ve had in the area. Great drink menu as well. Add the great service and attention from all the staff, not just the waitress, and the cool decor inside and you’ve got a place I’d definitely recommend!

Good seafood and excellent service. They had indoor and outside seating. It was a little noisy, but it is mainly a bar.

My husband and I had dinner here on our first night in Virginia Beach. We started our meal off with a cup of she-crab soup which was delicious. We also had just steamed shrimp. Delicious. Then we split the crab cake dinner. The meal consisted of two large crab cakes, rice and green beans. It was plenty of food for the two of us. We had water to drink. Our bill was $50 + change. Service was excellent. I highly recommend CP Shuckers! See my attached picture

I am in VA Beach about 2-3 times a year for business and each time, I will have at least one meal at CP Shuckers. The food is very good and staff has always been nice and attentive. There is a lot of history on the walls inside, especially that of local military units. I would say it is a locals place as well but since it is so close to the beach / boardwalk, there is a fair amount of out of towners as well. It is very casual and has a bar as well as tables to dine at along with table on the outside as well. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town!!

OMG! I was so overwhelmed. So many options to try. I order Crabcake sandwich, so so good. My Sister order the grits & fish w/greens. She loved it! I got grits to go. Everybody can't cook grits.

I really enjoyed my visit here and the food was very good. Excellent gyros! Our server and the person I figured to me the manager checked in to make everything was good several times. After our meal my one granddaughter and I stayed to enjoy a hockey game and drinks while my daughter and other granddaughter did some shopping.

Been a while since my last visit but was worth the wait. At this stage I don't need to even view a menu - it's always the tuna steak. Slightly under done but was quickly rectified. Service was fast and efficient as always and not too packed at 6pm. It's my go to place in Virginia Beach and I highly recommend.
