best hamburgers, chicken strip, shredded pork or chicken, sausage..all around good food. not everything is barbecue.
Never disappointed when I’ve been to any of the locations. Always friendly and pleasant service. The smoked wings are the best hands down on the peninsula.Honestly everything that I’ve tried has been so good I would recommend Bubba and Franks Smokehouse BBQ. I give them a 15 out of 10 it’s that good no exaggeration.
The staff here are down to earth and oeople friendly. They understand how to make a good meal. I had the breakfast and it is delicious
While traveling down the road, we wanted some BBQ. I searched the area for reviews from another website). This place came up with good reviews so we went out of our way a little and stopped by. I even looked them up on their own website. The BBQ bun on their website shows it toasted and it looks different than a regular hamburger bun. That is not was given to us, I’ll explain later. This restaurant is located in a little strip shopping center. To start off, service was excellent. The staff greeted you when you walked in the door. The lady behind the counter was very friendly. The restaurant was clean, drinks were self-service. There was only one table of customers sitting in the dining area when we walked in and one other person getting to go food. We got ours to go. They charge you a fee if you use a credit card. This fee shows up on your bill, if you pay cash they say you get a discount. The fee is charged and then taken off the bill if you pay cash. The BBQ pork sandwich combo came with a side and a drink plus a small container of coleslaw. The side portions were small. The container the collard greens came in was smaller than to go sides I am used to. I thought the collard greens were bland. The BBQ sandwich was moist and was just okay. The bun does not look like the picture on their website. It was a regular hamburger bun. The brisket philly was so soggy it had to be eaten with a fork. The hand cut fries portion was ½ of the bag that they were placed in. Most of the fries were small tiny pieces but the ones that were bigger were soggy.
Great food at Portsmouth location. But they just hired a new counter lady and she is VERY RUDE and unfriendly. Not happy with how she speaks to customers.
I normally never read it leave a review but wish I would have read the reviews before I went and got there brisket. Worst brisket I have ever had. The cut was like deli meat and was heated up on a skillet like it was stir fry with some kind of sauce that was just as bad not to mention just wrong. Who does this and why?? The brisket should be smoked and stored as a whole slab untill it is cut with a knife to serve to the customer. This is a joke and disrespectful to the brisket and my opinion should really come off the menu unless the plan is to ONLY offer it as a Philly style sandwich. 1st and last time. The ice in the machine and tea was good though.
First I must say we had some amazing customer service! The food was pretty awesome as well! The only thing I would say was that I was 50% sure I was eating a once frozen cheeseburger. Aside from that, everything was delicious and fresh.
I don't care for BBQ so I can't help out anyone there, but I LOVE their chicken salad sandwich! It's soooo good! Love how it's on toasted buttered bread! My only issue is that they are very inconsistent... Sometimes the sandwich has tomatoes and lettuce, but then sometimes it doesn't. I honestly don't know how it's actually meant to come since it's a 50/50 chance you'll get it with the tomatoes and lettuce. It's delicious regardless! I just get sad when it's without. (And their hush puppies are great too!)
Needs updated remodeling. Food is great. Staff is friendly. Ice machine was empty. Even though there were no customers. I am a return customer.
Decent smoked wings but prices way up not sure they are worth $. Called to ask if they by some miracle served US catfish and was lied to. Fish was very greasy and a waste of money..definitely swai or basa.. not real catfish... and the sides are a mess. Sorry that's the last time for me. Fleeced
