Great coffee!! I used to live in Hawaii and their cold brew took me right back. My review is 4 stars because the setup of the indoor seating and and atmosphere doesn't invite you to hang out. And that's my favorite thing about a coffee shop. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S 700 DEGREES OUTSIDE. This is more of a get your drink and hit the road spot.
I have been here multiple times over the years and this place has consistently been a decent spot. Cold brew is 7/10, not bad but nothing to write home about. The baked goods however are always super tasty (especially the cheese danish when they have it). Also all their food has labels listing each ingredient so definitely allergy friendly. Parking can be annoying but there is typically a spot open in the side or front gravel lots. They are very committed to their aesthetic which I appreciate. There is a ramp at the side entrance for wheelchair accessibility however its a bit tight to get from there to the inside seating.
Absolutely loved everything about this coffee house! I love Kona coffee. Definitely a favorite. I tried the eye opener and it was so strong and flavorful. Was not bitter in any way. They had samples of Paleo/gluten free banana bread and it was good. I like that they have more reasonably priced coffee!Parking is challenging any ware near the ocean front but my big SUV fit in the side ok. I was happy about that. They have the neatest merchandise for sale.There was limited seating, but a table opened up by the time our coffee was ready. Definitely coming back!
Found Bad Ass Coffee while looking for some good coffee in Virginia Beach. The location is a few blocks (5-6) in from the boardwalk, but well worth the short walk. You can also park in the area in the front or back of the shop (gravel/grass lot). There are a few tables and chairs outside on the porch but more inside. They have a huge variety of coffees and other caffeinated drinks (both hot and cold) as well as lots of baked goods. They also have some sandwiches available. They really do have some unique and interesting creations…there is something for everyone in there. We had an iced coffee, an iced latte, a smoothie, and some cookies. Everything was really good. The coffee taste is unique and far better than most I’ve had. They have lots of merchandise available for purchase as well. All staff I encountered were helpful and efficient. I would love to return during my next visit to Virginia Beach (or to another location) to try some other items.
Coffee was burnt (and any flavor I could pick up did not taste like Kona Coffee). Service was awkward (to put it nicely). Every person had either a frown or seemed annoyed (almost as if I'm bothering them by ordering something). Would recommend the owner retrain their staff to be more friendly (and how to not burn your coffee beans). One positive, they did make a great smoothie
We got a large iced chai with two shots of espresso and it was SO good! Absolutely would go back and recommend as a stop on an itinerary.
Signature Latte, Carmel wave with a splash of coconut was stout and strong had good flavor and got the internal organs working
Stop in for the variety of coffees and deserts while you sit inside their coffee lounge and enjoy free WIFI. The servers were very friendly and the coffee and carrot cake was perfect. They also have coffee mugs, t shirts, and other items for sale. Help support local business.

very cute spot! went for the first time and sat with a new friend and chatted for some time. staff was friendly and welcoming, and the place had an overall nice vibe! absolutely loved the coffee too! have to try their bakery items next time!
